   Current Exhibits

The Webb City Historical Society currently

maintains several exhibits on display at The

Clubhouse.

                 Display cases include historic items

from Webb City's rich

zinc and lead mining

history, popular local

landmarks, many now

gone, the Southwest

Missouri Railroad

Company whose electric

rail cars provided a

vital link to surrounding

communities in the early 20th

Century, and from the early

Webb City Sentinel newspaper

that continues to keep the

community informed weekly.

Several walls of the Clubhouse rooms hold

displays of cartoon works by the late Nic Frising,

that were a favorite feature in the Webb City

Sentinel, providing commentary on local events.

Other walls

hold displays of

the photographic

work of Bob

Foos, Sentinel

owner, and

recent

inductee to the Missouri Photo-Journalism Hall

of Fame.

The Historical Society also maintains an

archive of donated historical items that are

displayed as space becomes available.

Outside the building is the

Wm. H. and Marion E.

Perry Memorial Garden

that commemorates their

many contributions to the

Webb City Area.
