This glider was owned by my Uncle Don Tulk and was flown in the Albury area in the early to mid 70's by my Uncle and my Father. Strangely, this is not the first time this glider was rigged on the front lawn of a house, I can remember it happening in front of our place too. It was also badly damaged in an accident where the nose was torn off during take off as the only tow hook on the aircraft at the time was designed for winching and was fitted under the pilots seat. The glider skewed sideways on take off and ploughed in the ground. When it was rebuilt a nose hook was fitted. Not long after my Uncle sold the glider.
