Welcome to my home, where I will endeavour to show you some of the paintings I have created with much love.
I was born in Clare, South Australia, but after marriage moved to Albury in New South Wales for 14 months, due to my husband's occupation. During this time we spent a Winter in Europe, with our home base being in The Hague, Holland. This was one of the highlights of my life.
After leaving Albury, we moved to Adelaide in South Australia, where I became very involved in Art for the next 15 years. I returned to Clare in 1989, and have been completely involved in my passion for Art ever since.
I took a three year course in Oils in the early 1970s, and then had a break until 198l when I joined a weekly Porcelain Art Class in Adelaide. In 1985 I became a Qualified Porcelain Art Teacher, teaching three Classes a week. I took many Seminars with well-known Australian and Overseas teachers over the next 10 years or so, and at the same time begain painting in Acrylics, Pastels, Pen and Ink and Watercolours, all of which I have taught over a number of years, along with Calligraphy.
During the 1990s I created a technique using enamel on porcelain to produce geometric designs which I work in blue enamel on the white porcelain background. I create these designs from scratch in my Sketchbook, and with technical equipment draw up the designs on porcelain -- this is a combination of technical and freehand work. One of my favourite parts of these designs is the actual original design creation -- I love bringing new designs to life. See my Technical Pointillism Designs.
