Please remember, the foregoing lists are only partial. Just in the New Testament alone, there are over 5,000 changes (omissions & additions) between the Greek Text (Textus Receptus) of the AV-KJB and the Greek texts (Nestles or Aland-Metzger) of the “New” bibles. And we haven’t included in those 5,000 changes the thousands more substitutions, transpositions, and modifications to the text. Just how many of these changes are incorporated into an English translation depends upon the bias or prejudice (whim or preference) of the translators!
At the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the Bible God warns us NOT to add to or subtract from or change His words (Deut. 4:2, Prov. 30:5, Rev. 22:18). In the New Testament both the Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul warn us about the dangers of leaven (Mt. 16:6-12, Mr. 8:15, Lu. 12:1, 1 Cor. 5:6, Ga. 5:9) - a little leaven leavens the whole lump. In the Psalms (Ps. 12:6 &7) God promised that He would preserve His words. And again in the Psalms (Ps. 138:2) He testifies to us that He has magnified his word above His Name! That is, according to the testimony of the AV-KJB, there is nothing in the entire universe that is more important to Almighty God than His word.
The question for the modern day Christian is - are we going to trust the scholars- scribes? Or are we going to trust God? It’s your choice. After all is said and done, that’s what life is all about – choices. For the lost it’s – will you believe on and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour or will you reject Him? For the Christian it’s - Do we believe what God has said about His word or do we reject His words and ignore them? That’s what the Christian life is all about – choosing. It’s your choice!
Last eve I paused besides a blacksmith’s door,
And heard the anvil ring, the vesper chime.
And looking in, I saw upon the floor,
Old hammers, worn with beating years of time.
“How many anvils have you had?” said I,
“To wear and batter out those hammers so?”
“Just one,” said he, and then with twinkling eye,
“The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.”
And so I thought, the Anvil of God’s Word,
For ages, skeptics blows have beat upon.
But tho the sound of falling blows is heard,
The Anvil still remains – the hammer’s gone!
HAMMER AWAY, YE REBEL BANDS!
YOUR HAMMERS BREAK –
GOD’S ANVIL STANDS!
