THE KIKS will be up in London early door's on Friday, so if you'd like to join us for an afternoon drink, probably somewhere around Camden Town, get in contact with us through myspace.
Also, we are still thinking about changing our band name. As we are your band though, we have decided that we will let you decide what it's going to be. What we will do is select a list of the ten favourite band names that we get sent, and then we will let you decide which one we will go with.
THE KIKS ARE BACK 31st/July/2006
After a break from gigging, THE KIKS are back and better than ever.
Recently THE KIKS have played two hugely successful gigs at famous venues ‘THE CAVERN’ and ‘THE JOINERS’, boasting great new songs in there set such as, NOWHERE TO GO BUT ANYWHERE, DOWN x 5, I'M ALL GONE, as well as rejuvenating a few older songs such as, IT AINT EASY, TAKE ME TO PARADISE, BETTER ME.
Anybody who hasn’t seen THE KIKS in a while will not believe the transformation they have made from new local band trying to find their way, to a top class band with a great new sound and an ambition to take over the world.
ECHO WRITE UP 29th/July/2006
UP and coming Southampton Band The Kiks will be taking to the stage again this weekend when they play at the Joiners tonight.
The gig will be the first they have played since their visit to The Cavern, Liverpool at the beginning of the month.
The band have been busy writing new material including new songs; Down x 5 and Nowhere to go but Anywhere which they will be performing tonight along with old favourites We're Not Afraid and It Ain't Easy.
This year has seen change for the four piece band with new drummer Gareth Sharp joining Paul McGeachie, Reggie Bryant and David McGeachie giving The Kiks a new dimension and even more energy than before.
And the future's looking bright for the boys with gigs in Manchester and Dublin already scheduled for the next couple of months and the recording of their live demo in August to look forward to.
The Kiks are definitely a band to keep your eye on!
