Can you offer your home for short term care, for one or more cats whilst their current carers are away?
I work at Wakeley Veterinary Group in Sydney & we have a beautiful sweet girl named Remmi who has been with us since May. She was admitted in for boarding in May as her owner fell ill & had no family close by to care for her. It was initially thought that once he got better, he would be placed in a care facility where Remmi would be able to reside with him. We have been in close contact with his family & have met several times when they have come to Sydney - they would have taken Remmi on themselves but they unfortunately live in Melbourne & sadly Remmi did not get along with their dog. Unfortunately the care facility her owner was eventually placed in would not allow dogs. Her family chose to surrender her over to us so we could find her a new family (sadly, her owner actually passed away last month as well).
Which brings us to now. My staff & I have tried our very hardest to find her a home through social media, advertisements, pet rescue sites etc. She has received a few phone calls & one meet and greet which were all unsuccessful. As much as I love my sweet Remmi & would love to see her rehomed through our clinic, I cannot be selfish. This is a heartfelt plea to see if any rescue groups would be willing to take on my sweet baby girl. We have already reached out to a few rescue groups but unfortunately they are all full up.
Remmi is a 12 year old Staffy cross. She is microchipped & currently registered to myself/clinic. She is a beautiful soul & still has so much energy for an older lass. She loves her walks & zoomies around the backyard. She is a big people person & has so much love to give. Unfortunately she is not fond of pocket pets or cats. We also think she is deaf but can hear us at times..not sure if she just has “selective hearing” . She has been good so far, (under supervision) with small dogs (her best friend is a cavoodle). She is also not good with larger dogs her size - she likes to be the boss.
I might also add that I have noticed a small change in her recently as well - she has started to become a little depressed at times & sometimes quieter than usual. Being in kennels with us for 7 months, I don’t want her to suffer mentally. She is such a sweet precious soul & if she only got on with my cat & two ferrets, I would take her in a heartbeat.
She is desexed, up to date with her vaccinations, heartworm, flea treatment & worming. This is my only Christmas wish - to get her into a loving home. I really do hope you are able to help.
Looking forward to speaking to you soon.

Foster carer needed
Foster carer needed possibly with his mum Izzy below
TC is looking for a new foster home or permanent home perhaps with with his mum Izzy or another cat as a playmate.
Foster carer needed
Izzy is a tiny little short-haired dark tortoiseshell with big green eyes and a fiery orange stripe down her nose. She is a delicate and softly spoken little thing who enjoys being with people. While she can be a little timid with new people she quickly warms up to everyone and loves a good pat, cuddle and ear scratch.
His current carer says - Domino is an incredibly affectionate and placid cat. He adores company and likes to be cuddled and stroked. He has a gorgeous soft, long and fluffy coat and appreciates a brush once a week. He has the calmest temperament of any cat that I have met and likes to follow you everywhere you go. At bed time he walks himself to his bedroom and waits anxiously to be tucked in and kissed good night. He is best suited for a family who is happy to pay him attention and in return will be by your side and be a beautiful companion.
Domino seems to have the traits of a Turkish Van, as you can see from this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Van .

As a result, the ACNC has introduced a charity verification ‘tick’ which shows that an organisation is “transparent and accountable by highlighting their presence on the ACNC Charity Register”.
It is hoped the charity tick will have a positive effect on public trust and confidence in the charity sector, with donors being able to instantly recognise a charity that is well governed, reputable and worthy of public donations registered. Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption Inc.is proud to warrant and display the ‘tick’!
