SPAR AND RIGGING
Sloop rig with silver anodised mast and boom. The halyards are run internally. The mast is sound-proof. Boom is equipped with gas filled Rodkick boomvang. The mast has double spreader configuration.
The mast is keel stepped and provided with lightning protection cable to keel bolts.
The spar is a Seldén R-section 260/136 mast providing in-mast furling of the main sail. It is provided with an integral luff groove on the after face for setting a spare main (this mast has now been replaced - see "Upgrades").
Main sail furling and out-haul lines are led back to the cockpit as is the main sail halyard and the main sail sheet and traveller lines.
The forestay carries a Furlex roller furling system with a 135% genoa.
Stainless steel turnbuckles and chainplates.
The anchor winch is a Lofrans "Tigres" horizontal windlasswhich has a 1700lb pull rating. Winch features include a top mounted snubbing cleat, manual override, all chain retrieval (1/4inch - 3/8inch) and oil-level window. The winch is is operated via local and cockpit controls. An anchor wash-down system is provided.
The primary anchor is a 55lb Delta with an all chain rode and snubber.
Back-up and emergency anchors include:
