Agios Prokopios, Naxos. One of the Cyclades islands.
Your ferry will arrive in Chora (Naxos Town). Getting to Prokopios is simple. Get the bus to....er...Agios Prokopios! The ma in bus stop is on the harbour front.
You'll know when you arrive, the bus stops at small junction the beach, not the naturist part but it's about 1/2 mile walk. There's a signpost. Here you will find plenty of tavernas, a few bars, mini-markets, laundrette. petrol station and lots of accommodation. Face the sea, turn right. Walk past the parasols. The naturist beach is backed by one of three salt lakes. There's a hill further along. The beach is tiny pebbles, they don't stick to you like sand does, Safe swimming too. No facilities on the beach apart from the occasional beach vendor.
Amusing story - I asked doughnut seller what doughnuts he had - his reply? "The sun destroys my marmalade!"
1. The beach sign by the bus stop.
2. The view towards the hill by the biggest lake
3. The naturist beach area from the hill
4. The beach viewed from the hill at far end.
Agia Anna, Naxos
