Westleton - 25 Bewicks Swan + Green Sand North of Westleton village in winter wheat on the East side of the B1125 @ 1600hrs.
Rendlesham - 10+ Waxwings seen by the church near Costcutters.
East Lane - Both Red-crested Pochard & Purple Sand seen today, although no sign of the Sibe Chiffchaff.
Alderton - Ringtail Hen Harrier seen along the Alderton-Bawdsey road early afternoon
Melton - Curlew Sand, Little Stint and Greenshank all seen on the river this morning from Dock lane.
Copdock - 46 Waxwings seen near the Toys 'r' us/Tescos outlet near the A12/A14 interchange.

Carlton Colville - Ringtail Hen Harrier seen over Carlton marsh SWT @ 1130hrs.
Kessingland - Single Waxwing South over the sewage works this morning.
Wangford - Single Waxwing seen on Norfolk Road just after midday @ TM.467.793.
Easton Bavents - Black Redstart again by the sheep paddocks.
Southwold - The ringed juv Glaucous Gull was seen on the boating lake this morning + Ring-necked Parakeet again noted along North Road.
Westleton - 25 Bewicks Swans North of Westleton village viewable from the B1125.
Dingle - Adult Whooper Swan seen on Dingle marsh + Lapland Bunting rptd 500yards North of beach carpark & 3 Sp. Redshanks on the shorepools.
North Warren - 2 Tundra Bean, 21 White-fronts, Red-breasted Goose and good numbers of Barncle Geese seen on North marsh.
Rendlesham - 10+ Waxwings seen this morning on Tower field Rd opposite the surgery.
Bawdsey - Merlin noted by the quay + Sibe Chiffchaff seen near-by at East Lane in the 2nd clump of Tamarisk bushes.
Melton - Greenshank still present.
Ipswich - 18+ Waxwings @ 0900hrs at the junction of Defoe Road/Taunton Close (40+ birds present there yesterday). Shag seen in the wet dock + Peregrine from Fox's marina. 3 Mandarin where seen on the wilderness pond in Christchurch park + Tawny Owl.
Ixworth - 34 White-fronted Geese on Micklemere + singles of Snow Goose & Pink-footed Goose noted.

Gunton - 6 Waxwings South over Gunton heath @ 1350hrs.
Kessingland - c70 Snow Buntings present on the beach North of the sluice.
Benacre - c20 Tree Sparrow & 5 Brambling seen in the maize strip adjacent to Beach farm.
Easton Bavents - The colour ringed juvenile Glaucous Gull was seen on the beach @ 1420hrs + Black Redstart in the sheep paddocks.
Southwold - 7 Ruff noted on Town marsh + Ring-necked Parakeet seen along North road prior to 0945hrs.
Rendlesham - c40 Waxwings still continue to be seen on Tower field Rd although rather mobile.
East Lane - The Red-crested Pochard continues to show on the lagoons.
Alderton - Ringtail Hen Harrier seen along the Alderton-Bawdsey Rd, near-by Firecrest seen at Bawdsey quay.
Hemley - Ringtail Hen Harrier seen over Spinney marsh @ 1605hrs.
Ipswich - 2 Mandarin seen on the wilderness pond within Christchurch park & a further 4 Mandarin seen on the small pond adjacent to Victoria nursuries along Westerfield Rd.
Stour Est - 2 Long-tailed Duck seen from Stutton Mill mid morning.

Kessingland - 4 Waxwings seen opposite the derelict church til 0945hrs then flew North.

Grundisburgh - A single Waxwing was a good garden bird for one lucky observer at 17 Post mill gardens @ midday.

Minsmere - Both Lesser spotted Woodpecker and Firecrest noted within the South belt this afternoon.

Hollesley - Both ringtail Hen Harrier & Woodcock seen on the Upper common early afternoon.
East Lane - The Red-crested Pochard was still on the 3rd lagoon.
Melton - Little Stint again viewable from Dock Lane @ 1445hrs.
Nacton - 5 Brambling present within the mixed finch flock on the pig fields + 3 Med Gulls in the gull roost.

Bradwell - A ROSS'S GOOSE was seen amongst 1000+ Pink-footed Geese in fields by the Cherry farm garden centre jst after midday.
Lowestoft - The Ring-necked Parakeet was again seen North over the town centre @ 1300hrs.
Kessingland - 9 Waxwing seen along Coastguard Road @ midday.
Reydon - No news either way on yesterday's rptd WHITE-TAILED EAGLE.
Westleton - 4 Pink-footed Geese were noted amongst the 24 Bewicks Swans feeding in winter wheat to the East side of the B1125.
North Warren - Both singles of Tundra Bean & Pink-footed Geese were seen amongst 138 White-fronted Geese on North marsh this afternoon.

Boyton - Bittern present on the RSPB marsh.

East Lane - The drake Red-crested Pochard remain faithfull to the lagoons, also noted 2 'ringtail' Hen Harriers, Merlin, Peregrine, Jack Snipe & Purp Sand.

Lowestoft - The juv Glaucous Gull was seen in the harbour til 0745hrs then flew North. Ring-necked Parakeet was noted South over the multi-storey carpark and finally a single Waxwing was seen at the junction of Harris Ave/Yarmouth Road @ 0840hrs.
Reydon - A wholly unconfirmed report of a WHITE-TAILED EAGLE was seen perched in a tree along the B1127 (Reydon-Wrentahm rd) @ 1555hrs. 15 Waxwings again seen along 'The drive'.
Waxwing - The Drive, Reydon - Dick Walden.
Southwold - The LESSER YELLOWLEGS was again rptd on Town marsh @ 0930hrs.
Westleton - 25 Bewicks Swan still on winter wheat off the B1125.

Lowestoft - The green ringed juv Glaucous Gull was seen @ 1530hrs in the harbour on the fish dock roof and was then joined by the ist winter Iceland Gull @ 1600hrs. The Ring-necked Parakeet was seen to fly North over the multi-storey carpark @ 1530hrs.
Southwold - No sign today of the LESSER YELLOWLEGS on Town marsh.
Reydon - 14 Waxwings were present today along 'The Drive'.
Westleton - 24 Bewicks Swans still on winter wheat viewable from the B1125.
North Warren - Both Tundra Bean and Red-breasted Geese seen on North marsh.
Rendlesham - 20+ Waxwings still opposite the surgery along Tower field Road this morning.
East Lane - The drake Red crested Pochard remains on the lagoon nr 2 + 2 Purp Sands on the sea defences.
Ipswich - 10 Waxwings were seen feeding outside 325 Humber Doucy Lane late morning + 3 Mandarin present on the 'wilderness' pond within Christchurch Park.
Stour Est - 3 Long-tailed Ducks were viewable Stutton Mill @ 1430hrs, 2 birds were present nr buoy 11 and the other seen between buoy's 8 and 9.
Lackford - Juv Peregrine over the sailing lake this afternoon.
Lakenheath - The Great Grey Shrike was again present adjacent to the RSPB carpark.

Rendlesham - 24+ Waxwings on Tower field Road opposite the surgery.East Lane - Siberian Chiffchaff calling and showing well in the 2nd clump of Tamarisk early afternoon + Red crested Pochard still present on the lagoons. Merlin, ringtail Hen Harrier, Jack Snipe & Purp Sand all noted this afternoon.
Bawdsey - Blackcap by the picnic site, Chiffchaff by the manor + 2 Spot Reds down by the quay.
Ipswich - Peregrine over the town centre @ 0830hrs.
Trimley - 2 Pink-footed Geese & 1 White-fronted Goose noted on the marsh + 6 Snow Bunting.
Stour Est - 3 Long-tailed Ducks viewable from Stutton Mill early morning & stiil present by buoy nr.12 @ 1430hrs + 78 Red-breasted Merg's.
Lakenheath - The Great Grey Shrike was again present + 2 Cranes, 3 Water Pipits, 5 Corn Buntings and c40,000 Starlings noted coming into roost this evening.

Minsmere - Single Waxwing present briefly in the North bushes @ 0900hrs before flying off North.
Rendlesham - 16+ Waxwings still present on Tower field Road opposite the surgery.
East Lane - Long-tailed Duck with 23 Common Scoter offshore + 39 Snow Buntings & 2 Purp Sands noted.
Bawdsey - Firecrest present at the picnic site + male Hen Harrier at near-by Ramsholt church.
Lakenheath - The Great Grey Shrike was again seen adjacent to the RSPB carpark this morning.
Timworth - A pale Buzzard sp thought by some observers to be a possible Rough-legged Buzzard was seen over Timworth Heath early afternoon @ TL.875.684.

Weybread - The 1st winter Great Northern Diver was seen late afternoon at the Eastern end of the pits though rather distant.
Westleton - c20 Bewicks Swans still present on winter wheat viewable from the B1125.
Rendlesham - c40 Waxwings still present today though rather mobile, last seen along Hazel Close early afternoon.
Landguard - 2 Long-tailed Ducks seen South offshore + Shag. Firecrest seen within the compound by the heligoland trap.
Orwell Est - 2 fem Common Scoter still in Thorpe bay + adult Med. Gull.
Stour Est - 2 Long-tailed Ducks viewable from Stutton Mill near buoy nr.11 @ 1400hrs.
Stoke-by-nayland - 2 Bewicks Swans seen in fields near Thorington Street res.

Burgh Castle - An adult white morph ROSS'S GOOSE was seen amongst 3000 Pink-footed Geese as they flew East @ 0755hrs.
Lowestoft - A 1st winter Iceland Gull was present within Lowestoft fish market @ 1520hrs, best viewed from South pier. 18 Waxwings seen c200 yards West of Lowestoft Road roundabout (Carlton Colville) by the A1145 @ TM.518.904.
Weybread - The 1st winter Great Northern Diver remains at the Western end of Ocean pit.
Benacre - Female Red-crested Pochard present on the pits @ 1130hrs + 4 Tree Sparrow present in the maize strip by Beach farm.
Southwold - The juv LESSER YELLOWLEGS was again present in the South-West corner on Town marsh this morning and then flew South @ 1215hrs towards Walberswick.
Dunwich - 2 Spot Redshank & 4 Snow Buntings were present at Dingle marsh.
Rendlesham - Upto 42 Waxwings seen along Acer Road opposite the surgery today.
East Lane - A Long-tailed Duck was present on the 2nd lagoon this afternoon.
Deben Est - A Greenshank was present by Ramsholt lodge + Firecrest noted by the rocks. Two groups of Twite were seen, the first being at Felixstowe Ferry where 36 birds were present and the other at Falkenham creek where 60+ were counted, earlier 42 birds were counted from this location, also 3 Whooper Swan (ad & 2 juv) remain.
Orwell Est - A Shag was seen in the wet dock at Ipswich from Fairline berth before flying towards Cliff quay. From Freston the juvenile Great Northern Diver remains + fem Eider still present. A single fem Red-breasted Merganser was noted flying up-river towards the bridge as were 17 Goosander.
Stour Est - A Long-tailed Duck was present in Seafield Bay, whilst 7 Slavonian Grebes were noted in Holbrook Bay + a report of a Red-necked Grebe also came from the latter location.
Alton Water - 2 drake Red-crested Pochards were present between Larch and Rabbets Wood early afternoon.

Weybread - Great Northen Diver still on Ocean pit at the Western end.
Southwold - The juv LESSER YELLOWLEGS again put in an appearance on Town marsh after going missing for more than a week, also the 3 Pink-footed Geese were again present + 3 Velvet Scoter South offshore.
Sizewell - The Tree Sparrows continue to be seen at Ashwood.
Rendlesham - 18+ Waxwings along Tower Field Road this morning.
Lackford - 7 Goosander (3 drks) present this evening.

Weybread - The 1st win Great Northern Diver was still present on Ocean pit + redhead Goosander present.
Lowestoft - The Ring-necked Parakeet was seen South over the town centre @ 1330hrs.
Kessingland - 50+ Snow Buntings still present on the beach.
Southwold - A 1st winter Caspian Gull (kiev ringed) was present on Town marsh til 1500hrs, also noted were 3 Pink-footed Geese.
Minsmere - The green-ringed juvenile Glaucous Gull was seen on East scrape this morning, also noted was a ringtail Hen Harrier from Is.mere @ 1530hrs + Water Pipit.
Rendlesham - 24 Waxwings were seen on Acer road opposite the surgery this morning.
Orwell Est - The juv Great Northern Diver was seen from the strand and Stoke saling club + female Eider noted.

Minsmere - 2 Waxwings by the visitor centre briefly at 1000hrs before flying off North.
Rendlesham - 24 Waxwings present on Tower Field Road just after 0800hrs + 2 Waxwings on Acer Road @ 1030hrs.
Wherstead - Velvet Scoter rptd on the Strand this afternoon.
Falkenham - 3 Whooper Swan (ad + 2 juvs), 50+ Twite, c450 Avocet & 2 Buzzards noted by the creek this afternoon.
Shotley - 22 Snow Buntings still just North of the marina late morning.
Lackford - 6 Y-L Gulls (1w,2w,3w,4w & 2 ad) present in this evening gull roost although no sign of Tuesday's rptd Glaucous Gull + 5 Goosander present (2 drk).

Westleton - 6 Crossbills seen on the heath today.
Rendlesham - Upto 26 Waxwings seen along Acer Road @ 0820hrs, this mobile flock was later seen on Tower Field Road.
Stour Est - 1 Long-tailed Duck seen from Stutton Mill this afternoon on the river just right of bouy nr.5, near-by a Hen Harrier was seen over fields in Ewarton Bay and 22 Snow Buntings + 6 Med Gulls were noted at Shotley marina.
Lakenheath - The Great Grey Shrike was again viewable from the carpark on the riverbank West of the B1112 this morning.

Lowestoft - The Slavonian Grebe was seen within Hamilton dock this morning although elusive at times + the Ring-necked Parakeet was seen near the lighthouse in Arnolds walk.

Southwold - No sign of the LESSER YELLOWLEGS today but both 1st win Caspian Gull & juv Glaucous Gull (which was ringed as a chick on Bear Island, Svalbard on July 18 2008) were present by the harbour mouth.

Lowestoft - The Ring-necked Parakeet was seen North over Kirkley cemetery @ 0735hrs.
Kessingland - Sea-watching offshore produced 2 Black-throated, 1 Great Northern and 275 Red-throated Divers. At the sewage works 3 Chiffchaffs, Firecrest & Grey Wag noted. 50+ Snow Bunting still remain just North of the sluice.
Covehithe - Single Whooper & 6 Bewicks Swans were present South of Covehithe cliff @ 1225hrs.
Southwold - The LESSER YELLOWLEGS was again on Town marsh favouring the SW corner, also noted were 3 Ruff & 3 Water Pipit.
Westleton - 19 Bewick Swans still viewable from the B1125.
North Warren - 25 White-fronts and Red-breasted Goose present on the marsh.
Aldeburgh - Ringtail Hen Harrier over Aldeburgh marsh @ 0800hrs.
East Lane - Drake Red-crested Pochard still on the lagoons.
Melton - Greenshank noted from Wilford bridge + Little Stint seen from Dock lane.
Falkenham - 3 Whooper Swan (ad & 2juv) + single Pale-bellied Brent seen amongst the Brent Goose flock this afternoon.
Trimley - Short-eared Owl seen over the marsh + fem Common Scoter on the river.
Freston - Great Northern Diver seen again on the river @ 1100hrs.
Alton Water - Slavonian Grebe seen from the hide in Larchwood @ 1300hrs.
Stour - 2 Long-tailed Duck rptd from Stutton Mill near bouy 12 @ 1500hrs, also noted Great Northern Diver, Shag and fem Scaup from Mistley Walls @ 1400hrs.

Lowestoft - The Ring-necked Parakeet was seen heard then seen around Sparrows nest park @ 0800hrs.
Kessingland - 60 Snow Buntings North of the sluice this afternoon + Common Scoter on the pits
Southwold - A LESSER YELLOWLEGS was discovered this afternoon in the SW corner of Town marsh and was still present til 1435hrs at least, also present by the harbour mouth was a 2nd winter Caspian Gull.

North Warren - A good number of White-fronted Geese were again present on North marsh although no sign of yesterday's Tundra Bean Goose.
East Lane - The drake Red-crested Pochard was again present on the first lagoon.
Trimley - The Great Northern Diver + 1 fem Common Scoter & a fem Eider still present in Thorpe Bay.

Westleton - The 19 Bewicks Swans remain on winter wheat fields viewable from the B1125.
Minsmere - A juvenile Glaucous Gull was present on West scrape early morning only.
North Warren - A single Tundra Bean Goose was present amongst 77 White-fronted Geese on North marsh @ 1505hrs. Also 250 Barncle and Red-breasted Goose were present.
Lakenheath - The Great Grey Shrike was again present adjacent to the car park, also noted 2 Water Pipit, Peregrine & 3 Otter.

Walberswick - 3 Snow Bunting & 40+ Twite noted at Dingle marsh.
Westleton - 19 Bewicks Swans still present in winter wheat fields along the B1125.
East Lane - The drake Red-crested Pochard was again present on the 1st lagoon today.
Melton - The Little Stint was again noted on the Deben in the dock area.
Wherstead - The Peregrine was again seen preched on the bridge.
Lakenheath - 2 Common Cranes still present, no news either way on the Great Grey Shrike today.
Brettenham - Single Waxwing seen on apple tree in the village.

Westleton - 19 Bewicks Swan still present in fields viewable from the B1125 + Crossbills seen drinking from puddles by the 1st carpark.
Shingle Street - 18 Snow Buntings 1ml North of the coastguards @ 0900hrs.
East Lane - The 'unringed' drake Red-crested Pochard was again present on the lagoons this morning however could not be found early afternoon.
Landguard - A Pom Skua was noted South offshore @ 1300hrs + the Peregrine was again seen on it's usual perch within the dock complex.
Monday 1st December 2008
Minsmere - Adult Caspian Gull on East scrape mid afternoon.
Trimley - A Short-eared Owl was again seen over the SWT reserve, whilst on the river the 3 Common Scoter remain + the Great Northern Diver was again present til 1450hrs when flew upriver towards the Orwell bridge.
Wherstead - The Great Northern Diver was seen from the strand @ 0800hrs & the Peregrine was again perched on the bridge.
Lackford - Jack Snipe gain seen from Bernards hide + 6 Y-L Gulls & a 1st winter Med Gull present in this evenings gull roost.
