Forty five years of breeding Siamese cats for what they are supposed to be—gorgeous cats with normal features, health, amazing personalities, sociability, and longevity. This is not a cattery. These cats never have been bred to show or lived in a cage. This is a family (mother and daughter) breeding a few litters a year to preserve what the Siamese should be. These are the traditional Siamese, also called old-fashioned or applehead, not the pinhead or wedgehead type bred for show that resemble large rats.
We have realized we are some of the few people raising Siamese like cats--free in our house, sitting in our laps, sleeping with us, and not locked away most of the time. This makes a HUGE difference in their personality and makes them FAR more valuable than kittens not raised like this. Both households have dogs, so the kittens are used to having the dogs around, and in some cases playing with them, sleeping with them, and being dragged around by them.
Forty five years is ending, I am sorry to say. I wish I could recommend someone doing it the right way. Please feel free to contact me for advice. I will be glad to help anyone in any way.
