Shirrmontana Cocker Spaniels

Bred for health & temperament

Well you know the saying never say never........after losing Dylan recently I decided that I wasn't going to get any more 4 legged friends for a few years, then the opportunity arose for us to have this little girl join us here at Shirrmontana, so please welcome MAGGIE!  My beautiful orange & white ticked little girl............more details to follow.

Maggie is pra/fn hereditary clear, so will be tested in due course for AON and AMS, we will also get her re-tested for pra and FN as by the time she's old enough to hopefully have babies of her own, the Kennel Club are insisting every 3rd generation needs to be retested .

22/6/2020  -  First time in the back garden on real grass!

14th July 2020  -

We are pleased to say that Maggies DNA test for AON, which was sent off to OFA in the US has now been completed and she is CLEAR, which means all my dogs are clear.  Maggies dad had been tested but her mum hadn't, these are tests required by the KC, and I always test my dogs to ensure we always produce healthy puppies in the future.

We are now awaiting her DNA tests from Pet Genetics Lab, where she is being tested for  AMS.   FN.  PRA-PRCD.  DM.  EIC.  PFK Deficiency,  Maggie is hereditary clear for PRA and FN, but by the time she's old enough to be bred from the UK Kennel club will be insisting that every 3rd generation has been tested again.  Hopefully results should be back very soon.

22nd August 2020  -  More pictures taken today, my baby is growing up fast!
