Rosianna was formed in 1992, originally from members of The Bootleggers Band who played for the Scunthorpe based Appalachian Dance display team, "The Bootleggers"
The line-up has changed over the years, but we still have original band members Gerry Fillingham, Eamon Greene and Chris Marshall.
The current line-up of seven members consists of caller and whistle, melodeon, keyboard, banjo, tenor and soprano saxophone or flute, twelve-string guitar, and bass guitar. We introduced Carl on bass guitar in July 2015 following Dave Prebble's decision to stand down earlier in the year. Also Alvina (Keyboard) has taken a back seat over the last two years due to family circumstances. That led us to bring in Dick Skinner on Melodeon. Dick has been a folk musician for over forty years and has played in bands like Riff-Raff and Murphy's Law.
Holidays or illness may cause us to throw in the occasional substitute.
Dick and Eamon are both regular participants in the Coleby Ploughjag and Chris sometimes helps out if regulars are reduced in number.
All our mains powered equipment is PAT tested annually.
