I was in those old billets as 73rd entry App..... Cold as charity they were!

Yes I remember it well. The winter of 1963. We were running round the camp in PT kit and Denims.
Absolutely ridiculous. We lost one of our entry in a snow drift and had to pull him out. That was young Trevor Ball, bless his cotton socks. He soon thawed out as I remember.
I remember also PT sessions in the "Belsen" hangar, as we used to call it.........down by "8 area " car park and the "Boggy" lines.
Those were the days !!

I had jsut passed out the previous December(1962) and this was probably the bad winter of 62/63 which lasted til March in some areas.

Looks like Locking in January 1963 to me.

That looks like the `Locking' I remember, but is was a warmer time of the year for me. Great snow pic Steve.
