The first recorded counter grille card for a commemorative set of stamps was in 1967. The designs were relatively simple and did not illustrate the stamps. These early posters have " PRD"( Public Relations Department) ," PHQPB(S)" or "PL(P)" reference numbers.

The 1969 Christmas grill card was the first to illustrate the stamps , as shown above. This style of poster was used until 1989.
