We attempt here to do away with the feat tax and make every feat pick a viable option rather than a speed bump to something good.

The following essential abilities are so frequently taken and logically could be performed by anyone.  We kept all other requirements, typically a minimium strength, dexterity, intelligence, or base attack bonus of +1.

Power Attack:  Everyone is treated as having this feat the moment they achieve a strength of 13 or higher and a +1 base attack bonus.

Deadly Aim:  Everyone is treated as having this feat the moment they achieve a dexterity of 13 or higher and a +1 base attack bonus.

Combat Expertise:  Everyone is treated as having this feat the moment they achieve an intelligence of 13 and a +1 base attack bonus.

Step Up:  Everyone is treated as having this feat with a +1 base attack bonus.

Weapon Finesse:  This is now an option for any light or finesse property weapons, rather than a feat.

Improved Unarmed Strike:  This now allows lethal damage without taking a -4 to hit, and the damage increases to 1d6.

(Without this feat anyone is still proficient in unarmed strikes, as we did away with proficiencies, but may only deal 1d3 nonlethal or suffer a -4 to attack lethally).

Now everyone can perform basic combat tasks without having to throw their feats down the toilet for necessary and obvious choices.

Dodge:  Adds mobility as part of taking the dodge feat.

Precise Shot:  Removes the normal -4 for shooting into melee and adds 2 when an ally is in melee with target.

Weapon Focus:  Now adds +2 to attack with selected weapon group.

Weapon Specialization:  Now adds +4 to damage with selected weapon group.
