May Your Word be established in me

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. Today Lord, I want to be a disciple indeed, so I will continue in Your word. I shall know the truth and the truth shall make me free. Let Your words, Father, not only be established in Heaven, but let them now be established in me.

I know it is the Spirit that quickeneth and the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that You speak to me are spirit and they are life. Father, let Your word be established within me that they may bring forth the spirit of the word and the life that is in that word. I know my eyes are the lamp of my body. Let my eyes be sound so that my whole body is full of light. I know if there is evil in my body, my eye can not be single in its devotion to You. My vision will have a double purpose. I know if there is any part of darkness no matter how small or how large it dims the light within, Father, help me to obtain a single eye. Amen

In the book of Revelation You gave a word to seven churches. To seven You gave a word that said, "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;" Revelation 2: 7 (KJV). The Spirit was talking to those that were in tuned. Those that were teachable, moldable and directable.

The spiritual mind goes beyond hearing the voice of self and Satan. The establishment of the written word is no longer head knowledge, but the revealed word that is written on the fleshly tablet of the heart. This brings forth the single ear. Jesus spoke, lived and operated from this place. He spoke from the stand point of Christ. So His words were always anointed never tainted with flesh. They didn't pass through the battle ground of the flesh (the fleshly mind), but came straight from the tablets of His heart where the Spirit of the Father dwelled. He never once let His Eve nature take over and partake of darkness so the light within Him was never dimmed by sin.

Jesus walked 30 years and never sinned. The day He was baptized at the Jordan River, the Holy Spirit came upon Him and remained. The Heavens were opened unto Him and He became the image and likeness of the Father. At this point He lived with no limitations. All things were possible to Him. He was the flesh of God and in the wilderness He defeated the forces of darkness, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye and even the pride of life had no effect on Him. He was victorious and now stands as our pattern to follow. His eye was single, His ear only heard one voice, the voice of the Father.

Jesus' members were used for righteousness, His hands, eyes, ears, heart and mind. Even His senses were not tainted by flesh, but desired things from the heavenly realm. The word was established within Him. He was the living word. In the beginning when God spoke, creation adhered to His words. As He spoke, "Let there be light," light came forth and pushed darkness into its place. Creation came forth in Heaven, Earth and Sea by the spoken words of God. Now, Jesus, the flesh of God, because of the word God spoke, became flesh. Then the word that had become flesh, filled with the Spirit of God, spoke and the flesh became word and the word became light and life in us.

Now, because of the word inside of us, we invite the Holy Spirit in, who empowers the word which becomes anointed and light and life bursts forth inside of us. We become the flesh of God. The Word with the Spirit gives us the ability to become a new creation in Christ Jesus. We are no longer of the flesh, but Spirit. Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3 (KJV). He went on to say that, "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 3:5,6 (KJV). There is a world of difference between the two. One is the son of man, the other are the sons of God. One is lead by self; the other is lead by the Spirit of God. If we have two heads we are a house divided and we will fall. If we still operate out of the mind set of the flesh, then we stay in a constant battle, because it is enmity against God. The carnal mind or our fleshly mind is not subject to the laws and workings of God and never will be. "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and, peace." Romans 8:6 (KJV). "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit." Romans 8:5 (KJV).

Brothers and Sisters its not this body of flesh we battle. It is the mind set. We operate out of the fleshly mind set which is our old nature before we were born again, or we operate out of the mind set of the Spirit, which is the new creation we have become. Jesus became the flesh of God to make a difference in our lives. He showed us it was possible to walk above sickness, disease, problems, troubles, circumstances, poverty, Satan, darkness and anything else we might face through Him. He has given us His word and His Spirit, the Holy Spirit that we can overcome. We need to quit confessing that we are flesh and confess the word and it's resurrection power. Resurrection is not a day, it is a man called Jesus Christ. He said, "I am the resurrection." John 11:25 (KJV). That resurrection power is in you if you are born again.

That resurrection power brought Lazarus forth from the grave when everyone else thought it was impossible. Even though, he was born again, Jesus said, "Loose him, and let him go." John 11:44 (KJV). Some of us may need to take the death napkin from our eyes that the eyes of our understanding can be opened. We may need help to take away the burial cloth that still reminds us of who we used to be. Some may need just to loose the stink of death by stepping out of the condemning nature of the past. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8:1,2 [KJV].
