Dr Who

Over the years I have watched a lot of TV. However, in the 30+ years I've been around, there have only been a few TV series that I have grown to love. The first one was Star Trek (see above) and the second was Dr Who.

Having got used to the THW rules, I set about using the rules in the Dr Who Universe. The results (so far) can be seen.

The United Nations Intelligence Taskforce (also known as UNIT) is a military organization operating under the auspices of the United Nations. Its purpose is to investigate and combat paranormal and extraterrestrial threats to the Earth. files/UNIT.pdf

The Doctor

The Doctor is a Time Lord, an extraterrestrial from the planet Gallifrey, who wanders time and space in an internally vast time machine called the TARDIS. The Doctor explores the universe at random, using his extensive knowledge of science and technology to avert whatever crises he encounters. The Doctor generally travels with one or more companions. The Doctor has the ability to regenerate his appearance when severely injured. So far he has done this 13 times.

The TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space)
The TARDIS once had the ability to disguise itself according to its environment, after landing in 1963 London its exterior form becomes "stuck" in the form of a British police box; due to a malfunctioning chameleon circuit, it has remained in that shape ever since. files/Doctor and tardis.pdf

Companions have assumed a variety of roles in Doctor Who, as involuntary passengers, as assistants per se (particularly Liz Shaw), as someone to whom the Doctor is a mentor, as friends, and as fellow adventurers. Modern companions tend to be invaluable in helping the Doctor out of tight situations; for example, the Doctor credits both Rose Tyler and Martha Jones with saving his life in their initial adventures with him.

The Doctor regularly gains new companions and loses old ones; sometimes they return home, or find new causes — or loves — on worlds they have visited. Some companions (notably Katarina, Sara Kingdom and Adric) have died during the course of the series. files/Companions.pdf

Disclaimer: These rules are based on my fondness for the TV series.

Some rules based on existing ideas found on the internet.

The Master

The Master - Rep 6

The Master is a renegade Time Lord who is the greatest individual enemy of the Doctor. files/The Master.pdf

Cyberman - Rep 4
Cybermen were originally a wholly organic species of humanoids originating on Earth's twin planet Mondas that began to implant more and more artificial parts into their bodies. This led to the race becoming coldly logical and calculating, with emotions usually only shown when naked aggression was called for. files/5150 CYBERMEN QRS.pdf

Sontarans are humanoid, with a squat build and distinctive dome-shaped head. They are a race that reproduces by means of cloning, with no females, and are a militaristic society obsessed by war. Originally, they come from a high-gravity world named Sontar in the "southern spiral arm of the galaxy", and are far stronger than humans. They recharge their energy through a "probic vent" at the back of the neck rather than consuming food. The Sontarans have been at war with the Rutan Host for millennia.

Ogrons are low-intelligence, ape-like hominids who live in scattered communities on an unnamed planet on the outer fringes of the Milky Way, far from the central spaceways. The dominant lifeform on their home planet is a giant slug-like lizard named the Eater, and the Ogrons both pray to and are preyed on by it.

Ogrons are hired mercenaries. Those who have employed their services include the Master and the Daleks.

The Judoon

Judoon are galactic police, brutal in their precise application of the law and highly logical in their battle tactics, but not very intelligent. In fact, the Doctor states that, whilst their behaviour is (on the surface) that of a military police force, they are really little more than "interplanetary thugs". files/5150 JUDOON QRS.pdf
