Hotel Bellevue Bowl
Maker: S.W. Dean Ltd Distributor: Canadian Tumbler Co. of Toronto This bowl was purchased in Vernon B.C. at an antique shop. I originally thought that the hotel was originally built by the CPR in Sicamous, based on the information that the seller gave me, and a story of hotel employees throwing dishes into the lake was intriguing...but this piece wasn't one of them. That was the Hotel Sicamous. The Hotel Bellevue was in Sicamous, but it was later moved to Three Valley Gap to be part of their heritage ghost town attraction. There is a photo on their website of the hotel, as well as an interior shot of the dining room, with the place setting laid out. You can barely make out the hotel's logo on the china.
