The NECA Annual Competition 2016 was hosted by Darlington Video Makers Club on Thursday 24th November 2016.

Winner BLUE by Robert Lorrimer;

Second FEATHERED FRIENDS by Roy and Jean Vickers;

Certificate for Sound THE SNOBBY HOBBY by Doug Collender;

Certificate for Editing SPECIAL DELIVERY by Roy and Jean Vickers.

Results for the NECA 2015 Competition


There was a great turnout at South Tyneside Film Makers on the 26th November to  watch a selection of films that were entered into the 2015 competition. All those films entered were shown and a high standard of film making was seen at a great presentation!


Winner:   Doug Collender for his film The 'Toon', receives a cheque for £60.00 and a Certificate.

Second place : Trevor Ermel and Dave Peffer for their film The Dream.  They receive a cheque for £40.00 and a Certificate.


There were three films 'Highly Commended and the producers each receive a Certificate:

Michael Gough's film  - The Empty Experience (watch)

Robert Lorrimer's film - Writer's block (watch)

John Robert's film - First Light

The NECA best Club Programme and Individual Film Competition was held on 23rd February 2015

This was kindly hosted by Tynemouth Video Group
