NECA Movie Makers

NECA exists to encourage clubs in` the North East of England to meet regularly and exchange ideas on all aspects of  Movie Making.

Established in the 1970's
NECA (North East Cinematographers Association)

(the name refers back to a time when Movie Makers had only celluloid film to work with)

the Association has helped to promote Movie Makers throughout the region and continues to hold  annual competitions to help drive up standards.
NECA can draw on a comprehensive knowledge base of many Movie Makers within the area.

Local Clubs contribute to NECA's annual competitions which serves to showcase films made by local people, in local clubs.
