Mid Kansas Live

Where pretty ponies (painted or plastic) proudly prance on parade!

INCENTIVE: Everyone that comes to an event will get their name put in a drawing-at end of year a name will be drawn and the winner will win......this year's Breyerfest guest horse model! A bay Carrick!  (Sorry Mid Kansas Live Showers-this is only for our fun shows and playdays)

July 28-Fun Show-theme? Gay is the judge. *sigh* LOL

August 25-All Animal Show! Check out the classlist, can add to it and adjust. Britt to judge. NO SUNFLOWER CARDS!

SEPTEMBER 15th is the MID KANSAS LIVE SHOW aka 'The Big One'. Check out the classlist on the other pages. NAN qualifying!   ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION-we are doing the STABLEMATE CHALLENGE again! Take your choice of Stablemate, custom it, bring it on the day of the show wrapped up so NO ONE knows which one is yours and give to Gay, she will put them out for entrants to judge on, winner gets a Sunflower plaque. The horses then will be put on silent auction and auctioned off, money goes toward the show.

We need to plan a date for our KSN-Kansas Sunflower National Show. Would January be a good time? Would like for everyone that wants to participate a chance to show. Remember-if you want to show your horse, you have to give up a Sunflower Card. We will also need a judge.

Check out the events page to see what all is planned in the coming months! Feel free to join in any or all events! Do not be afraid to ask questions-my email is below.

The Show Hall for fun shows/novice/junior show and playdays is the Rose Room and  is at  101 N. Rose Hill Road-it is south of the Rose Hill Bank in a small mallThe Rose Room is small so I can only have 10 entries (maybe more if entrants can double up on tables, and entrants bring tables). Tables will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Paid entrants will be given priority. Hotel information is listed below, just underneath the judging info. ;)

MID KANSAS LIVE SHOW is going to be held just down the street from the Rose Room-The Rose Hill Recreational Center 400 S Rose Hill Road. The tables are only 6 foot. Everyone will be allowed one with entry form. You are welcome to bring tables.
This show is NAN qualifying AND a BREYER Benefit Show-all entries will have a chance to win RENO-a roan pinto Mustang. For more information on NAN/NAMHSA, please visit: www.namhsa.org.

The show hall will open at 6:00 am (for MKLS, 8:00 am for fun shows/playdays) and the show itself will start promptly at 8:00 am (10:00 am for fun shows). There will be a break for lunch around noon with an hour break and then resuming. There are several fast food places and restaurants in the area, all only a minute or two from the showhall. Satin and/or paper ribbons through 6th place and bottle cap rosettes to the champs/reserves-fun shows. MKLS-satin ribbons 1st through 6th, rosettes for divisional champs and sponsors will donate items for the overall champs. Last year, new in box Breyers were prizes along with some awesome trophies handmade by a sponsor.

Wondering about what kinds of goodies there will be at the show? To the left you'll find a link to our donations page, which will list all of the donations sent to us. There will be door prizes, raffles, and a silent auction! Raffle tickets are $1/each, or 6/$5.00--good luck! Also, entrants may feel free to bring models, tack, or other accessories to sell from their table at no extra cost.

Fun shows-you can bring your WHOLE collection if you want! NO class limits and lots of fun classes, animals, fantasy, mare/foal, etc.

In loving memory of Kit, Smokie, Elphie, Sparkle, Kallie, Pumpkin, Google, Koneko, Blackjack, Cricket, Blue, Aggro, Koko, K.C. the MKLS cat (she was a baby I was handfeeding at a live show one year-2001 I believe) and Smoke--gone but never forgotten!

And 'Mom' Mahlandt(2012) and Jake(2017) Love you Mom and Jake, miss you!

Thank you Mom for letting me have Jake for nearly 5 years-he was such a huge comfort to me when you left. I bet he is the happiest dog in heaven to be back

with his person.
