Characters & Props - Created in Carrara for use in Poser

Pix The Lamp

Mapps_Pix_The_Lamp.zip

This is a simple little figure done by request. The lamp is divided into standard "Human" divisions because it is intended to be animated as a "Person" so it is anchored at the Hip. A second version is on the way which will bend from the base like a standard lamp. No textures are included but the uv map is.

Pixi The Lamp

Mapps_Pixi_The_Lamp.zip

This is a simple little figure done by request. The lamp is intended to be animated as a "lamp" so it is anchored at the foot. No textures are included but the uv map is.

Floor Lamp Prop

Floor Lamp.zip

This zip contains a Poser 5 pp2s (Should load in poser 4 or pro with no problem), No textures, the Object files (Usable with any version of poser) and the uv map.

Summer Cottage

Mapps_Summer_Cottage.zip

This zip contains 1 pz3 file (with all the props loaded and placed) and all the textures needed for it and the props library for these items has been included. The cottage is positioned so that new characters being loaded arive standing on the deck, if you prefer the characters to be on the ground select the "Yard" and move the yard Y Tran Dial to 3.75 to set the set to ground level (all the props are parrented to the Yard object and will move with it).

The windows and doors are not attached to the house nor is the deck or deck stairs. They are parrented as smart props, this allows you to repostition them using either the X Tran Dials (for left to right) or the Z Tran Dials (for front to back for windows on the sides). This allows you to customize the cottage to your taste and add or subtract windows or doors.

SF Room (Character) with opening doors and props.

Mapps_SF_Set_001.zip

This zip contains 1 pz3 file (with all the props loaded and placed) and all the textures needed for it and the props library for these items that have been included. It is scaled to match the poser characters the with the door opening being about 6 feet and the coridors beyond being 7-8 feet high (inside dimention). Over all you will need to zoom out quite a bit to see it all. For Poser Pro users the Land displacement map can be used as a bump map but will not give the dynamic effect it does using the Poser 5 FireFly displacement engine, Earlier vers of Poser the same applies but you must convert the 2000x2000 pixel map into a ".bum" file... warning the file will be quite large, the set can be used with out it if filesize is a concern. It looks good with no bumpmaps at all. The "Blasted_Terrain_Bump_001.jpg" is the file you need to convert it can also be used as a bumpmap for the floors and walls as well giving them a pitted look. If poser 5 users would like to use it as a displacement map on the floors and walls, keep the displacement setting for the texture at .125 or less unless you want it to look like it has been "Blasted" apart (thus the name of the map).

Morphing Garden Style Stone, 1 Stone 7 Morphs = Lots of Stones

Mapps_Morph_Stone.zip

This zip contains 2 Prop files with the 2 included different textures and bumpmaps included (both bumps can be used with both textures). The stone it's self has 7 different morphs that at full value (dial set at 1) will create 8 different "garden" style stones. The 7 morphs do mix well together and can be used to create more styles. Poser 4 users will need to convert the 2 bump (jpeg format) files to "BUM" files. Poser 5 users can use the bump files as displacement maps (I find a value of .25 on the dial works quite well, larger values cause the stone to become too "spikey".) The stone has 1858 verts, this allows it to be shaped very well with magnets or displacement. Created in Carrara 3.0.3, the "stones.car" file has been included for carrara users incase they would like to play with the original to create more morphs. :-) (PS I exported from Car in standard obj format and imported into poser using only the first 3 options "centered", "on floor" and "Scaled from 40-65%" (most at 50% even), then export again as a morph target for the original prop (select ONLY the option "as morph target"). Use these settings only to enshure the vet numbers do not change as this will cause the created morph to "blow up" the stone.
