CUB SCOUT PROMISE: " I promise to do my best, to do my duty to God and my country, to help other people, and to obey the Law of the Pack".

Pack 61 is located in Lillington North Carolina and chartered by the Lillington Presbyterian Church. We are proud members of the Black River District of the Occoneechee Council for the Boy Scouts of America.  We have a great year-round family program designed for boys in first through fifth grades. While most of our members attend Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School we welcome any boys from the surrounding areas who are interested in joining Cub Scouting. We hope you enjoy our website and invite you to come see what we are all about and how much fun there is in scouting.

If your child is interested in joining Cub Scouting or you would like information on being a Cub Scout volunteer, please feel free to contact any member listed on our contact page and we will be more than happy to give you the information. You can also visit one of our Pack meetings currently being held every Monday night from 7-8 pm at the Lillington Presbyterian Church, located at 1100 8th St, in Lillington, North Carolina.

Cub scouts is a time for the parent(s) and child to interact and grow together. We do not believe parents should just sit back and watch. We believe parent involvement is a must, not only for the scout but also for the pack. Without the parents involvement, the pack would be strained to accomplish a lot of the activities we do. Your voice and participation will enable this pack  to provide the scout not only a "Top Notch" program, but also the skills and values he can use in the future.

Having a child registered in Cub Scouts is not a requirement to be a volunteer or hold a position within the Pack. Volunteering is a great way to help your community and teach young boys positive values and skills that will last a lifetime, and most importantly "TO HAVE FUN" while doing it.
