I saw on your website that you want more information for Mary Spector. She was my mother, the wife of Wallace Spector. She died on August 6, 2013. My sisters and I would love if you could include her memorial on your site. She is buried in a joint plot next to my father.
Please let me know if you need any other information.

Anne Kanute Brandt says...
My name is Anne (Kanute) Brandt. I am a great, great, great granddaughter of Moses Moyer. I would love to know who his parents were. So far on Ancestry.com I haven't been able to find them. Thank you very much for the information on this site.

Can you expound upon what happened to the Moyer family?

Members:

I have updated the main cemetery page to include 14 more individuals who have passed and are interred at Kehillat Israel. I will be more active in updating the page in the coming weeks. I need to either take or obtain photos for those individuals whose names appear in bold on the site. Further, transcriptions will subsequently follow. If, in the interim, those of you have this information would kindly share it with me I will be glad to post it as I get them. You can feel free to email me at ianpsinger@gmail.com or islandparrot25@gmail.com. Lastly, any photos and/or documents that detail jewish life in Shenandoah is much appreciated and will be shared upon receipt.

I look forward to hearing from all of you. In the interim, L'Shana Tovah....a happy and healthy new year to all of you. May it be filled with only sweet things.

Always,

Ian Singer

Dear Community: It has been a long few years and since I have last been on many things have changed! First, while the cemetery is now under the guise and auspice of the Central Penn. Jewish Foundation I am still intent on updating and maintaining the website with the blessings of the powers that be! That being said, I am back in full swing attempting to preserve all of our ancestors memories into perpetuity. Please let me know of any new(er) burials so that I may update that section. If you have any photos or any stories you want to share please e-mail me at islandparrot25@gmail.com and don't forget DONATIONS are always needed!! I look forward to hearing from you all soon!

I also have an ancestor named Benjamin Baron who lived in Philadelphia in the early 20th Century and who came to the USA from England and from Eastern Europe. Thank you for this wonderful website. Some of those in this cemetery are related to families in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, including members of Historic B'nai Jacob Synagogue in Middletown, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
