Welcome...

Folks call me The Bass n Drum Dude. That's because I teach / play bass and drums most of the time.

Do check out http://www.freewebs.com/jonathansim/drums.htm

I am also presently playing gigs within the local circuit and around the region. In future, I am planning to release both a recording of my own music composition and an instructional bass book.

I listen to Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Alain Caron and a lot of other bassplayers. I do listen to other players like Earl Klugh, Bob James, Wynton Marsalis, Pat Matheny and Herbie Hancock too.
I'm more into jazz, progressive jazz, fusion, r&b,and funk. Groups would be UZEB, Dream Theater, Earth Wind & Fire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Spin Doctors, Jamiroquai, Incognito, Jimsaku, Urban Knights, TOTO, Tribal Tech and lots more.
Pop and Vocal music would include the likes of Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Karyn White, Luther Vandross, Sting, Babyface, Toni Braxton and Take 6.

Latin Salsa stuffs I dig would include Thalia, Melao De Cana, The Mambo Kings, Buena Vista Social Club, Oscar Stagnaro and of course the lengendary Celia Cruz. Although I play in many different bands and setups, I really enjoy gigging with GRAVITY LIVE. We are currently performing at club NEXUS (Oriental Plaza) nightly. Come by to say hi if you are nearby:)

Currently I'm busy gigging in the chinese hokkien ge tai circuit too. It's especially busy yearly during the Ghost Festivities which happens on every 7th month of the lunar calendar.

Hi Jonathan,

Hope you remember me from 5th of March wedding at The Imperium Ngee Ann City. Just want to offer my thanks for a job well done. The guests were pleased and I'm still getting good reviews about the music till today. Please thank your team for me as well. I expect that you will receive a number of referrals from my banquet for your future business because a number of people have asked where I got you guys from.

Wanted to send this email earlier but only just got back to work....good luck and thanks again!
