LEAGUE RULES 2017/2018

1.THE LEAGUE TO BE KNOWN AS THE BOBBY HUGHES  TUESDAY DARTS LEAGUE AS FROM SEPTEMBER 2000

2.THE FEES FOR THE SEASON WILL BE SET BY COMMITTEE AT THE AGM OF EACH SEASON AT PRESENT IT IS �120 PER TEAM+INDIVIDUALS+PAIRS+3ASIDES  AT �2-�3  �3 RESPECTIVLEY.HALF OF FEES MUST BE PAID BY DEC MEETING ,REMAINDER OF BALANCE FEB,FAILURE TO  COMPLY WILL RESULT IN SUSPENSION OF ALL LEAGUE AND COMPETITIONS UNTIL PAID.AND POINTS WILL BE AWARDED TO OPPOSITION.

3.ALL CLUBS MUST BE REPRESENTED AT MONTHLY MEETINGS FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN �5 FINE.
TEAMS MISSING 2 CONSEQUITIVE MEETINGS WILL BE DEDUCTED 2PTS.MEETINGS TO BE HELD AT ST.ALOYSIUS ON SELECTED MONDAYS AT 7.30,PM

4.CLUBS FAILING TO COMPLETE A SEASON WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OUTSTANDING FEES AND ANY PLAYER WHO WISHES TO SIGN FOR ANOTHER CLUB MUST PAY A FEE OF �20 IN LIEU OF OUTSTANDING FEES UNLESS THE BALANCE HAS BEEN SATISFIED.
TEAMS RESIGNING IN THE 1ST HALF OF SEASON WILL HAVE THEIR RECORDS EXPUNGED AFTER 1ST HALF POINTS WILL BE AWARDED TO ALL TEAMS.
CUP RESULTS WILL STAND.

5.THERE IS NO RESTRICTION TO THE AMOUNT OF PLAYERS A CLUB MAY SIGN BUT A LIMIT OF 2 COUNTY PLAYERS/ PDC WHO PLAYED IN THE 2016/2017 SEASON MAY ONLY BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN ANY MATCH POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED IF BREACHED  PROVIDING EACH PLAYER PRINTS AND SIGNS THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION FORM.
NO REGISTRATIONS AFTER HALF WAY STAGE.

NO TRANSFERS ONCE A PLAYER HAS PLAYED FOR A TEAM
NO TEAMS TO ENCROACH PLAYERS FROM OTHER CLUBS DURING SEASON AND PLAYERS WHO TRANSFER CANNOT PLAY IN CUP GAMES FOR NEW CLUB

6.CLUBS WISHING TO CHANGE THERE VENUE MUST NOTIFY SECRETARY 7 DAYS BEFORE CHANGE.

7.OCHES TO BE A MINIMUM OF 8FT IN LENGTH AND MUST BE 5 FEET 8 INCHES IN HEIGHT FROM FLOOR TO CENTRE OF BULL.FROM CENTRE OF BULL TO BACK OF OCHE 117 INS----8FT ANY TEAMS WHOSE OCHES ARE NOT CORRECT WILL LOSE 1PT FOR EACH OFFENCE
PLAYING RULES TO BE 5 PLAYERS EACH TO PLAY 3 LEGS OF 301 DOUBLE START +FINISH.JOHN DOWD CUP SAME BUT TOSS FOR ALTERNATE THROW. LANES CUP 301 +DOUBLE START HANDICAP +DOUBLE FINISH.INDIVIDUALS BEST OF 3 LEGS 301 DS+DF
PAIRS BEST OF 3 LEGS 501 SS+DF FINALS OF IND/PAIRS TO BE BEST OF 5 LEGS .CAPTAIN+SECRETARY;S COMPETITIONS SAME AS INDIVIDUALS.   INDIVIDUAL/PAIRS  FINALS 9 PM START.

3 ASIDE RULES PAIRS 3+501 SS DF  =1 SET 3ASIDE 3+701 SS DF=1 SET DECIDER IND 3+301 DS DF=1 SET

PLAYERS CANNOT PLAY IN BOTH IND +PAIRS BUT CAN PLAY IN 3ASIDES CHOOSE 3 FROM 5 ONLY IN ANY 1 MATCH

8.THE HOME TEAM TO PROVIDE A MARKER AND AWAY TEAM CALLER.SHOULD A PLAYER OBTAIN HIS STARTING
OR FINISHING DOUBLE AND THE DART FALLS OUT BEFORE HE RETRIEVES IT HE MUST OBTAIN IT ON HIS NEXT THROW.
SHOULD THE CALLER CALL THE WRONG FINISHING SCORE AND THE PLAYER OBTAINS THAT SCORE THE PLAYER SHOULD BE GIVEN HIS DARTS BACK AND THROW FOR CORRECTED SCORE.
TEAMS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 PLAYERS BEFORE START OF MATCH.


ALL LEAGUE +CUP GAMES 8.45 START 9.00.PM SCRATCH UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED.EACH GAME TO BE CLAIMED IN   5 MINUTE INTERVALS.
IF BETWEEN THE 2 COMPETING TEAMS NEITHER CAN REACH 8 LEGS THE MATCH SHALL BE DEEMED NULL AND VOID.

NO PLAYERS ALLOWED TO PLAY IN MATCHES IF ARRIVING AFTER 9.20PM.

9.ANY TEAM WISHING TO  REARRANGE A FIXTURE MUST NOTIFY THE OPPOSING TEAM AND LEAGUE SECRETARY 7 DAYS BEFORE FIXTURE ALL REARRANGED GAMES  MUST BE PLAYED BEFORE FIXTURE DATE  UNLESS OF BEREAVEMENT .NO DELAYS FOR A FOOTBALL TV MATCH UNLESS PRIOR CONSENT IS ARRANGED.

10.PRIZES -TOP 2 TEAMS IN EACH DIVISION
LAST 4 TEAMS IN CUPS EXCEPT GEORGE SCAMP AND CONSOLATION.IND/PAIRS LAST 8 OF EACH.
BOTTOM 2 TEAMS IN 1ST DIVISION TO BE RELEGATED.

11.NEW TEAMS TO BE PLACED IN 1ST DIVISION IF ROOM PERMITS.

12.ANY TEAMS WISHING TO HOLD FINALS IN THEIR CLUBS MUST PROVIDE 2 REFEREES AND FOOD.THE VENUES WILL BE SELECTED BY THE COMMITTEE AND WILL NOT BE CHANGED .

13.ALL DISPUTES OR BREACH OF RULES OR MATTERS ARISING NOT COVERED BY RULES WILL BE DEALT WITH BY COMMITTEE.A FEE OF �5 MUST ACCOMPANY ANY DISPUTE AND IS REFUNDABLE IF DISPUTE UPHELD.

14.NOMINATIONS OR PROPOSALS FOR AGM MUST BE IN HANDS OF SECRETARY 14 DAYS BEFORE.

15.ALL CLUBS WINNING LEAGUE OR CUPS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFE RETURN OF TROPHY 1 MONTH BEFORE END OF SEASON,FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN CLUB  BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FULL COST TO REPLACE THEM.
