Age 30. Born 1886. Eldest son of Mr and Mrs George John Coe, of Lodge Farm, Long Melford, Suffolk Formerly Serjeant 1367 in the Ceylon Planters Rifle Corps, then commissioned 1st Border, served at Gallipoli, where he took part in the battles of 21st August 1915.

... contracted dysentery, and was invalided home to the Palace Hotel. After a time at his own home, he again took up duty at Shoeburyness, Clapham and Conway. On 18th March 1916 he was attached to 11th Border Regiment.
