Our camps are extremely popular and run every school holidays except for winter. They run Mon 9am - Friday 12pm. All catering and accommodation (large shared tents) is provided for the full week your child is at camp. You will need to provide basic camping equipment, appropriate footwear for riding i.e pull on boots with a heel, comfortable long pants for riding and a packed lunch (for the first day). A full detailed list of "What to Bring" is published around 2 weeks before the start of each camp. See our Facebook page for this.
Our objective is to create an educational, fun filled week for your child. We provide a safe environment aimed at helping children develop life and confidence building skills along with a more in-depth understanding associated with owning and caring for a pony. There will be instruction as well as fun stuff like games and beach rides.
This camp is suitable for beginners through to those who are capable riders but not yet at advanced level or age. Your child does not need to have any prior riding experience to attend camp but must be a minimum age of 8 years to stay overnight. Riding includes arena work, beach trekking, river trekking and a fun filled gymkhana where kids get the opourtunity to show what they have learnt over the week & win ribbons. There is a theory component of camp where campers learn general horse care & more. Bring your own pony or use one of ours. Cost $450.
For those more capable riders we offer a camp where the children are offered longer beach treks, river rides, swimming with your pony (seasonal), jumping, gymkhana, etc. This is a fantastic week to spend time bonding with your pony (or one of ours) and making lifelong and likeminded friendships! To attend advanced camp your child must be confident and capable riding in a large group in open spaces, confident cantering and jumping 60cm. Ages 10 and up. Cost $450.
