Our company policy is to devise experimental and physical theatre/dance, which is both innovative and accessible for all.  We try and bring experimental theatre to the community through workshops and site-located performances, along with productions in professional venues.

We use movement, dance and text combined with multimedia for performances and provide workshops for a variety of ages having provided workshops for primary and secondary school children, A-level and university students, and adults with learning difficulties.

Our company name means 'mr. foreigner', a contradictory phrase that is used out of respect and to ridicule.  This juxtaposition informs our work and the idea of being a 'foreigner' at whatever level is a theme personal to us.

gaijin-san company was formed in 2006 by Kylie Ann Smith and Ricky White, although Kylie has worked as a freelance director under this name since 2004.
