kaizas latest op he had another chunk of bone cut out from his ulna this time at the bottom rather than the top and also had a wedge of bone cut from the radius, also been fitted with a large metal plate into the leg hopfully paws crossed this will acheive the result if only the op was done when he was younger it would have been much easier for him ..........he has to go back in a week to make sure all is going as we want

Kaiza's was dropped off at the vets this morning for his big op, Kaiza's foot had really gone over again, been like that for a few day, even the vet spotted this , so now they are rethinking what is the best for Kaiza's foot. so now we wait

We picked Kaiza up at 630pm, Kaiza was so out of it, onstrong painkillers carried him to the car. Got him home , Kaiza was on thetable for 3 hours, poor thing. Hughy stayed down with him for the night and he didn’tmove. Not sure what Ian the vet did to him, until we see Ian Monday/Tuesdaythis week.

Ian spoke to the Specialist today that knows of Kaiza's case, Idealy the Specialist wanted Kaiza to be fitted with an external fixator ,but it was agreed that the wee man is not totally suitable to have this fitted so a date was set for surgery for thursday 16th to have the bones cut and plated .

Kaiza had a appointment yesterday with the vet. Kaiza's leg has not turned as much as Ian ( vet ) would like it to.So the plan is? Ian ringing up the Specialist today, who know Kaiza case they have seen his xrays.
Going to see if its the right time to reoperate by cutting a v shape in his bone to try and turn the leg around . his elbow and shoulder are fine all back in place, its not going to be a nice operation for him this time, he's going to be in some pain, but with good pain killers he should be fine. he also might have to have some plates put in his leg, unsure about that at the moment. The staple he has in at the moment to stop the growth plate growing will be coming out,
Kaiza's getting to be a big lad now, his weight is 27kg we have been keeping his weight down due to his leg, started to increase the food intake now as he's a growing boy ..
so at this moment in time, we are waiting for a call from the vets today

Kaiza in the car for the trip to the vets as you can see he's not happy bunny lol thats what he think about the vets
Kaiza been to see Ian the vet today
Some good news and some small bit of bad news, Kaiza has healed really well, his elbow has gone back into place and a much happier puppy, when they took a chuck of bone out of his Unla bone that has also healed fantastically .
The bad news is the vet was hopping this would straighten his leg much more, it has but he wanted it more, but that’s Kaiza for you, that’s the way he has healed, So the next step is in 6 to 8 weeks time he’s going in to have another operation done to have a small bit of bone taken out of the top part of his Unla bone and a small bit taken out of his bottom part of the Unla bone. This should work. We were hoping he didn’t need this. BUT we took Kaiza on to sort him out and that what we are going to do. He’s got a long life in front of him, and we want to get this right.
Kaiza's weight is 25kg today

No more news on Kaiza , its just a waiting game now with him, Kazia now can jump up the work tops in the kitchen ( bad news lol) he's getting big, goes out for his short walk up the road and back and loves it. snow is going now, much to Kaiza's disgust, loves playing in the snow.
Kazia is putting so much weight on that leg, just dont seem to bother him very much, and no so much in pain when he has his mad 5 minutes
will get Kaiza booked in for the vets this week for a check up and see what we have to do now...

The real snow fall,Kaiza totally loved the snow, running around the garden with not a care in the world, you wouldn’t think he had a problem with his leg, it was great to watch and to let him have a run around for a few minutes.when we had to get him in. Nope he just didnt want to come in, he wants to play, when we did get him in, he was shattered

This is Kaiza's first snow fall, he was full of himself when he was taken out for a short walk in the snow, sniffing and playing around, his leg didnt stop him from having fun

Kaiza is doing well, been trying to toilet train him at the moment, trying to get him to poo out side, no luck as yet.. it’s funny he looks at you and stands and pee’s trying to pick him up to get him out side is near on impossible when he's still peeing lol .. so it ends up down your leg, we will crack him.
Found a small lump on Kaiza’s leg today, feels like fluid sack, so will get him down the vets to get this checked out, on the same leg he’s had the operation, not hurting him and it’s got no bigger, so may have to have this drained.

We had to pop out and buy Kaiza a new collar he’s out grown his old one, he’s got so big, seems to be growing when he’s a sleep lol, Kaiza’s been out for a short walk, just to the end of the road and back, must be doing his head in not going out. Sniffed everywhere bless him, took about 3o minutes just to walk 200 yards and back, but he had fun
Kaiza after he had his mad 10 minutes running around, seems to putting his foot on the floor more these days.... when he slows down it’s like a switch goes off in his head, oh my foot sore then starts to limp but he’s fine when running around

Today Kaiza had to have a bath, he was in his cage and he had a huge poo and he was cover, the more we were trying to keep him still the more he was "Bouncing Around" lol
His foot/leg dont seem to have gotten any worse ( thank god ) it seems to have stayed the same after the operation and he seem to be putting his foot on the floor trying to walk on this, still in some pain at times, but that dont seem to stop him running around.
We will be starting to fundraise for his 2nd operation very soon
He didnt really like the bath bless him, he getting bigger by the day and getting very heavy for being picked up
