05/1/10 Auction for the Animals held at Golden Gavel Auction House started with a well attended pasta dinner provided by Sam Buca's.  Sadie Mae, Our Companions and Fidelco joined us during the evening.  We auctioned off 150 goods and services and raised $7,000.

09/26/09  2nd Annual Barktoberfest & Dog swim was held.  Another successful fundraiser.

07/25/09  We held Dog Days of Summer Beer & Wine Festival.  Our small group did a great job planning this huge event.  Our thank's go out to Leslie of Joe's Fine Wines & Spirits and Pat of Golden Gavel Auction House for without their help we would not of been able to pull off this event.  Attendees enjoyed over 100 wines and 100 beers as they listened to The Muther Hubbard Band.  Thanks for the generosity of Peter of Sam Buca's and Tony of Sofia's Restaurant that donated the food.  The Broad Brook Rotary helped us with the 50/50 raffle and Pat of Golden Gavel finished off the evening with auctioning off numerous items.  By the end of the evening our group had raised $4,100 toward the park.

6/6/09   We set up a booth at Touch a Truck sponsered by the East Windsor Rotary.  Raffle tickets sold for giant stuffed dog and information handed out on our park.

5/16/09  We set up a booth at Paws on the Promenade in South Windsor.  We held a raffle, sold more edible gardens, and handed out information on our park.

5/9/09  Our group walked in the Community Day parade.  A booth was also set up at EW Community Day.  We held a raffle, sold edible gardens, handed out "Buy a Brick" forms and got more people interested in supporting our park.   A successful day for our group.

10/4/09  1st Annual Barktoberfest & Dog Swim held at East Windsor Reservoir.  A night of vandalism to the park did not dull the day as we had over 80 dogs participate in the swim and $1,600 was raised.  Great fun was had by all.

8/7-9/08  A booth was set up at the Broad Brook Volunteer Fire Dept. carnival on August 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2008, 6-9 & we won the Best Dog trophy by the Sat. Parade judges!

6/20/08  All approvals have been given by town commissions and departments! We are now collecting donations and talking about fund raisers.

6/5/08  We recently got approval from Wetlands and Zoning.

5/10/08  We walked in the Community Day Parade & set up a booth.

3/4/08  The Selectman approved the EWDOG and Park and Recreation proposal that was presented.

2/11/08  Great news. The East Windsor Park and Recreation Commission meeting went wonderfully. Parks and Rec are moving ahead with the dog park proposal. They want to meet with a few key dog owner park group leaders to discuss design, location etc. They would like to make the dog park a budget line item.
