We are currently reviewing applications in search of an Intern for the ECCRC program sites. This Program Coordinator will be on site as your contact person for many of the programs at the site. This Intern is earning college credit through a college and will learn how a nonprofit operates. The Intern will live in town.
If you know someone who is interested in earning college credit while serving as an Intern, the application period is still open. A monthly stipend is paid to Interns along with room and board. A scholarship to pay for college tuition is also offered. For more information, contact ECCRC.
This addition of an on-site staff member will be so wonderful for ECCRC, Lighthouse Library, and the programs there. It has taken more than five years to build the buildings on the site. This is an exciting time for ECCRC and we are thankful that the building phase is coming to an end.
We will host an Open House for the public to see Lighthouse Library, the new Huge Saltwater Aquarium, and the other things at the site later on this summer. Look for a late summer movie presentation at the Oceanfront Cinema where Free Family Movie Nights will be offered by ECCRC in the spring, summer, and fall seasons. The Treasure Chest Thrift Store on the site can finally be opened now that the library is about completed. As soon as the books are moved to the library, volunteers can start setting up the store. The Intern will be a lot of help during this transition time.
Check back for updates soon. We hope you will stop by to see our progress the second Saturday in July, 2013 during the Dexter Barbeque. To be included in our list serve & receive updates, e-mail ECCRC at: firstname.lastname@example.org Or call (620) 876-7323.
