Itty Bitty Motoring

A Resource of Moderate Value to Model Car Builders

Welcome to IBM...uh, sort of.

The idea behind Itty Bitty Motoring is to offer some simple ideas for improving your scale modeling, show off some of what I have built, and hopefully motivate both of us to build more. I am not an expert, nor am I a "professional" builder by any stretch, but I do enjoy the hobby and know many folks who have had a huge impact on it. Thus, I occasionally stumble across something worth sharing with you here. There is a lot to be excited about in the hobby, and there's a huge aftermarket to support your creativity. I'm going to try to make an effort to point those things out from time to time. Let me know what you think about what you see here, and feel free to make suggestions.

AMT/Ertl 1969 Plymouth Barracuda

It's painted DupliColor Cayenne Red Metallic, and features a little engine detailing and turned aluminum air cleaner from Parts By Parks. The wheels are from one of the Monogram 'Cuda kits and the Firebird rear spoiler is a parts box find. Other than that, there's little else that didn't come in the box. To be candid, this is a fairly lousy kit that actually builds up nicely with a little patience.
