The Dave Philpott Comicbook Zone

April 13, 2008

Sunday, again.  My script was accepted by Iconic Comics, so now begins the process of finding an artist, having it drawn, inked, lettered and colored, then published.  Depending on the turn-around time of the company this could take awhile.

I've recently been in touch with a few artist-friends from the past, so maybe something will come of it.  I have a few cool stories I'd like to tell you guys, and I need someone to draw them.

I have a few ideas brewing, like The DropDeads, about a band trying to go for it one last time (even though they're past their prime); HelmetHead, about an old man trying to redeem his name and his honor in his village; and The Lion Killers, about a retired superhero hired to put down a group of young, powerful, out-of control superhumans.  I have a lot more, I'll post them later.

My son had his first professional haircut yesterday.  As he gets older, that means I'm getting older.  Funny, the older I get, the more I feel like a kid.

Speaking of which, I'm leaving the picture of Wolvie and Wanda's butt.  'Cause I'm immature like that.

Later, tater!
