Would you like to learn more about birds and other wildlife?

The South Shropshire Local Members’ Group offers a wide range of talks and walks throughout the year. Our indoor meetings are held from September to April inclusive, at Culmington Village Hall. (Please see talks page for details and directions.)

Our wildlife walks cover a variety of areas in and around South Shropshire - these take place every month except January and August. Please click here for some reports of past walks to whet your appetite, and here for some photos of our local (or visiting) wildlife. We also arrange occasional field trips further afield.

Everyone is welcome - you do not have to be an RSPB member to enjoy any of these events so why not encourage your friends and family to come along? Annual membership of the Local Group costs just £8 per person (under 18s free if either parent is a member). You may join at any indoor meeting, or contact our Membership Secretary. We regret we are unable to accept payment online.

Admission charges

Evening talks: Visitors £4; Local Group Members £1.50.

Wildlife walks: No charge

Under 18s: Half price
