The Giant Killers

Every F A cup slaying since 1888

Hereford were formed in 1924 but came to National attention in 1972 with the slaying of First Division Newcastle. They were arguably the best side in Non League Football at the time and were rewarded with election to the League at the end of the season. Within four years the Bulls had climbed to the second tier but making the next step to the big time was never a realistic proposition and a slump back to the fourth tier rapidly followed. The club are now an established fixture moving between fourth and fifth tier Football.
