Aztec Shoshana hung on an extra week so that she could foal in the torrential rain! Luckliy we spotted her and were able to bring mum and baby into the barn. We have another tall, buckskin colt! We have named him Aztec Leonado, which is Spanish for tawny coloured. He is 3/4 Spanish and 1/4 Appaloosa.

Our first foal of the year hs finally arrived and we have a super, tall buckskin colt. He is the fifth foal from Mill Natillas x Currante and interestingly all have been colts and all have inherited Currate's cream gene.
We have named him Aztec Caramelo because not only is he a golden caramel colour, but his mum's name means custard in Spanish, so we thought we'd carry on that theme!
Photos at 12 hours old.

Our very special cremello PRE colt Aztec Iconico (bred in conjuction with Silverbrooke Andalusians) has passed his vetting with flying colours and we safely delivered him to his new home this month.
We were delighted to get some pictures a few days later of him very happily settled...

It's not very often we get lots of snow before Christmas, so I made the most of it by getting some shots of the horses!

Our smokey black PRE colt Medianoche passed his vetting on the 1st Dec and we safely delivered him to his new home in Ashbourne with Lucy and Steve the following weekend,
He had been loading himself into the trailer and that morning was no different. He travelled like a pro and wasn't fazed by the snow on his arrival in Derbyshire.
Here he is showing off to his new field mates shortly after unloading.
A pose for the camera!
I love this selfie of him and Steve taken a week later. It seems he has quickly wormed his way into everyone's affections!

A Facebook friend suggested I do a calendar with some of my photos over the past year... so I took up the challenge!
It wasn't easy deciding which photos to use, but eventually I got there! The response was quite overwhelming and I had 70 printed in total.
The feedback has been really great and so I'm already planning next year's!

Sophie and Leye respresented us at the Iberian UK Champs with the two year old PRE Aztec Recorte and the yearling Azteca filly Aztec Jovana.
A good day was had by all with Recorte wining the Home Produced class, and Jovana third, and then Recorte came second in the Youngstock class with Jovana being placed third.
Some really great comments from the judges who are looking forward to seeing Jovana once she's matured.
Thanks for the photo guys, and well done!

We had a great day out at the HOPE Supreme Championships with Catherine & Aztec Silverio and Sophie with Aztec Recorte on 20th August.
My favourite photo of the day was the two boys saying Hi. Although they are not related and have only ever met at shows, I’m sure they knew there was a connection.
Silverio scooped a 1st in the Partbred geldings and a 2nd in the Dilute class. Recorte wasn’t on full form, but still gained a 4th in World Breeds 14.2 + and a 6th in World Breeds Youngstock. Both had previously qualified for the Best of the Best but due to classes running late, this looked like it was going to be 5.30pm at the earliest and both sensibly decided to head off home as the boys were getting tired.
My favourite photo ot the day....battle of the manes haha!
