A. Frame rails and roll cage
1. Any chassis built MUST BE INSPECTED and APROVED by the Pro-Six
Committee prior to taking part in the PRO-SIX Series.
2. Main frame rails 2” x 3” x .093 minimum, for entire length of car.
3. All cross members and cross bracing must have .093 minimum wall thicknesses.
4. All cage, hoops, down tubes, etc, 1 ¾” round x .093 minimum.
5. Minimum of three driver side bent door bars 1 ¾” x .093 minimum.
6. Left side foot protection bar of some type is mandatory.
7. Right side “X” bracing or door bars required, 1 ¾” x .093 minimum
8. Offset or perimeter type chassis allowed (No unibody cars allowed).
9. Rear frame rails must have a four-inch minimum kick up.
10. “X” brace or inner hoop behind driver required.
11. All cars must have fabricated bumpers (front & rear) in good condition.
12. 1/16” thick steel floor pan required for the entire length of driver’s compartment.
13. No alterations of any kind to original chassis.
14. All chassis are to be inspected by the executive board prior to completion and racing.
B. Setbacks for engine and miscellaneous specs.
1. Engine and transmission must be in center of chassis between front spindles.
2. Engine may be set back ten (10) inches. (Measurement taken from center motor mount bolt to centerline of front spindles).
3. Ground clearance will be a minimum 4” measured under left front frame rail.
4. Ground clearance of front spoiler will be 4” minimum the full width of the car.
5. Tread width – 64” Maximum.
6. Wheel base 95” to 97”.
7. Weight minimum of 2250 lbs. Left side weight maximum of 58% (with driver). Car and driver minimum weight of 2250 lbs. after finish of race.
A. Spindles, hubs, and brakes
1. Mustang 2 or Pinto front spindles. No alteration to spindles of any kind. No drop down spindles.
2. Kingpin angle must be between 7-10 degrees.
3. Iron or steel hubs and rotors only. No aluminum or lightened components allowed.
**Only exception is to quick change rear end components that are only available in aluminum.
4. Iron or steel brake calipers only. O.E.M calipers with single piston only. Steel brake lines are allowed and recommended.
5. No drilled rotors
1. Coil-overs allowed.
4. Spring sizes allowed: 150, 175, 200, 325, 350, 375 - ONLY ONE of each size to be used. Springs must have 2 ½ - 2 ⅝ inches inside diameter. Coil over spacers are allowed.
5. Only one spring rubber per wheel allowed.
6. Shocks are limited to AFCO steel body, non-adjustable series #14XX or #10XX. Shock numbers and quantities are as follows: 2 #1074 or #1474

Shocks may be used in any location on the car.
7. No alteration of any kind is allowed to the shocks. Any sign of alteration as deemed by the tech officials is grounds for disqualification.
8. Shocks may be claimed for $200 each. Price includes shock and coil over hardware.
9. No independent rear suspension allowed.
10. Single link track bar only. Adjustable mounts to rear end and to frame are allowed. Equipment to adjust track bar during competition is not allowed.
11. Top link on Rear End housing. No shock or spring type upper links or control arms allowed. Top link can be made of steel or aluminum.
12. Front sway bar allowed. Sway bar must be 1 inch 48 spline hookup. Maximum working diameter is 1 1/4 inches. Solid sway bar only; no gun drilled sway bar types allowed. Steel or aluminum sway bar arms allowed. Sway bar may mount to suspension by a heim or slapper.
13. No rear sway bars allowed.
14. Trailing arms may be steel or aluminum.
15. Rear trailing arms may be mounted to frame and rear end by heim ends, mono-balls, or rubber trailing arm bushings.
1. Rear may be stock Toyota 8 ½ inch or quick change.
2. Spider gears must be welded for Toyota, spooled gear for quick change type rear ends (No limited slip allowed).
3. Gear ratio MUST be +/- 0.02 points from stock ring and pinion ratios for Toyota 8 ½ rear end. (Listed Below)
4. No camber for rear tires allowed.
5. Attachments for 3-link set up only.
6. The following may be added to rear end housing: adjustable mounting point trailing arm brackets, shock mounting points, top link bracket, track bar bracket, and brake caliper brackets.
7. Toyota rear axles must be stock, solid shaft. Axle flange may be turned to accept brake hat.
8. Quick change rear axles must be solid shaft. No gun drilled axels allowed.
9. Stock ring and pinion for Toyota 8 ½ only. Ratios include: 4.11, 4.30, 4.56, and 4.88

2. Centerline ball joint to centerline chassis hookup must be 16 5/8” for both LF and RF.

III. STEERING AND BRAKE CONTROLS
A. Steering Control
1. Rack & Pinion, O.E.M. or race rack.
2. Steering quickener is allowed.
3. Power steering is allowed.
B. Steering shaft and coupler
1. If steering shaft runs straight, there must be a collapsible section; angled with “U” joint will serve the same purpose.
2. A quick disconnect coupling must be used at steering wheel.
3. NO Aluminum Steering Wheels allowed.
C. Brake Controls
1. Two brake master cylinders allowed.
2. Only one brake bias valve allowed. May be in the hydraulic brake line or mechanical style between brake pedal and master cylinder.
3. Brakes must be fully operational on all four wheels at all times.
4. Air ducting to brakes only.
A. Fuel Cell
1. 8 or 15-gallon type, approved for circle track racing. (Fuel cell foam must fill cell completely).
2. Fuel cell must be in an approved steel can – 22-gauge minimum.
3. Fuel cell must be held in place with a minimum cage of 1”x1”x .120 square steel; two under braces in a “H” pattern with minimum cage of 1”x1” x .120 square steel.
4. Top of fuel cell must have 2 straps or a welded four-way strap.
5. Fuel cell must have a roll over type check valve.
6. Fuel cell must have a minimum ground clearance of 10”
7. No external filler necks allowed.
8. Fuel cell must be centered in rear of car with an adequate firewall.
B. Fuel pump and filter
1. All electric fuel pumps will be connected to a roll over switch.
2. Fuel filters must be mounted – cannot be hanging from fuel lines or lying on the engine.
3. Pump gasoline or Track Fuel ONLY (NO additives or hot fuels).
1. Steel wheels, 13” diameter with a width of 10”.
2. All wheels must have same offset.
3. No pop off valves allowed.
ONE TIRE RULE FOR 2012
This rule would require that all teams purchase four (4) new tires for the first event and start the one tire a week rule for the second event.
Prior to the first event of the season all teams may also purchase 4 practice tires to be used in the one tire a week process. These 4 practice tires must have the serial numbers recorded when purchased at the track. These tires must be run a minimum of fifty (50) practice laps during the practice sessions prior to the first event. These laps will be tracked by your transponder and serial numbers.
First race, all teams will purchase up to four (4) new tires. All serial numbers for the four tires must be recorded by a track official before tires can leave the tire impound area (no exceptions). These four (4) tires must be used during qualifying and the feature event for that race (these tires if you choose maybe used for practice).
Second race, all teams may purchase up to one (1) new tire. The serial number for the newly purchased tire must be recorded by a track official before tire can leave the tire impound area (no exceptions). The newly purchased tire must be used during qualifying and the feature event for that day along with three (3) of the tires that the Technical Director has previously recorded in your track tire log.
Third race, all teams may purchase up to one (1) new tire. The serial number for the newly purchased tire must be recorded by a track official before tire can leave the tire impound area (no exceptions). The newly purchased tire must be used during qualifying and the feature event for that day along with three (3) of the tires that the Technical Director has previously recorded in your track tire log.
And so on for any additional events.
• All teams must have a recorded serial number tire on the car at all times even in the event that you need to change a flat tire during your feature event. The only exception is during practice.
• No more than one new tire maybe on the car after the first event.
• New teams coming in after the first event will be required to purchase up to four (4) new tires. All serial numbers for the newly purchased tires must be recorded by a track official before tires can leave the tire impound area (no exceptions). These tires must be run a minimum of fifty (50) practice laps at normal practice speed. The fifty (50) laps will be tracked by your transponder. If you need to remove any of these tires they must be placed at the entrance of your pit area. Failure to run the required fifty (50) laps will result in your team starting last and one (1) lap down in the scheduled event. If that team plans to return for future events they must follow the same rules as listed above. You must return with recorded tires from the previous events.
Penalty for Chemically Treating Tires:
If you are found illegal with chemically treated tires by the Race and Technical Directors along with having the tires chemically tested by a professional company all points collected up until that event are forfeited, along with a two-week suspension and a $100 fine per tire.
VI. BODIES, GLASS, AND CAR NUMBER
1. 1985 to current model year
2. No compacts or subcompacts
3. Bodies may be fabricated or stock, must be neat in appearance.
4. Fuel cell and battery must be outside of driver compartment with an adequate firewall.
5. A rear hatch type car will have a fabricated trunk type compartment for the fuel cell.
1. Front and rear Lexan windows required.
2. All Lexan must be braced and riveted in a safe manner.
3. Quarter windows must be covered with Lexan or Plexiglas.
C. Car Number
1. Minimum height of 18” and readable on both doors and roof (read
from the passenger side).
A. Short block
1. Nissan 3 Liter iron block V6 with single OHC, model VG30E.
2. Stock block. Cylinders may bored to 0.020” over.
3. Heads – VG30E stock single cam type O.E.M. production – no porting or polishing. 3-angle valve job permitted.
4. Ports and guides cannot be ground or modified in any way. No angle milling of heads.
5. Gasket surface of head may be cut a maximum of .015 (to remove warping) and will be checked against a stock head for model VG30E engines only
6. Stock pistons and rods only. If cylinder has been bored to 0.020”, stock 0.020” pistons must be used to maintain stock cylinder displacement.
7. Stock intake and exhaust valves as per Nissian for model VG30E engines only.
8. Aftermarket valve springs are allowed, single or double spring valves allowed. Stock retainers must be used. (no aluminum or titanium retainers)
9. Stock rocker arms only.
10. Stock or replacement lifters allowed.
11. Stock VG30E Crankshaft - journals may be turned but no other machining allowed.
12. Balancing allowed on rotating assembly to the lightest stock piston and rod.
13. Stock oil pan. Pan may be cut for clearance or more capacity.
14. No windage trays or scrapers allowed.
15. Stock head gaskets only.
16. Camshafts must be for a stock VG30E. Camshafts are limited to a maximum lift of 0.393” Camshafts are limited to the following specified durations, 248/248, 252/252, or 264/262 (intake/exhaust). NO Regrinds.
17. Stock and adjustable style camshaft gears are allowed.
18. Coil – Can use stock coil from 300ZX or Maxima OR Crane Cams 730-0020 coil with ballast resistor.
19. No computers or MSD type ignitions allowed (ONLY Crane Cams p/n 700-0231 kit
for distributor ALLOWED.)
20. Oil System
a) No dry sumps allowed.
b) No external oil pump allowed.
c) No remote oil filters allowed.
d) No oil cooler allowed.
e) No oil pan evacuation system allowed.
VIII. CARBURETOR, INTAKE MANIFOLD, AND AIR FILTER
A. Intake Manifold
1. Manifold must be either O.E.M. #14003-V6501 (no modifications or grinding allowed and no more than 1” carburetor adaptor) OR O.E.M. #14003-88G00 that is stamped by Experimental Engineering.
1. Holley 350 or 500 CFM (2300 series) 2-bbl carburetor only (NO modifications or grinding allowed)
2. Choke assembly may be removed.
3. Float, jets, power valve, accelerator cam may be changed.
C. Air Filter
1. No high-performance or air induction systems allowed.
2. No ducts or sheet metal air boxes allowed.
3. Air filter must be completely covered by hood.
4. No cold air boxes.

4. Radiator-air box must be sealed from inlet (grill) to radiator, and must not exceed the width and height of the radiator. No airflow from the box is allowed to go around the radiator.
1. Aluminum, high back seat ONLY (Approved type).
2. Seat must be mounted to left frame rail allowing movement due to side impact.
3. 5 point, 3” wide seat belts of approved type required.
B. Helmet, Suit and Gloves
1. Full- face coverage helmet required
2. Fire retardant suits required (one or two piece)
3. Fire retardant gloves required.

C. Fire Extinguisher
1. Fire system, or extinguisher, required within driver’s reach.
D. Battery and disconnect switch
1. Switch must be accessible to driver and safety crew.
2. Switch must be labeled and easy to spot for safety crew.
3. Battery must be securely mounted and shielded.

1. All roll bars within driver’s reach must be padded properly.
2. Driver’s side window net is mandatory.
3. Eye protection of some type is required.
4. Driveshaft safety loop should be welded or bolted.

6. A steel plate above drive shaft to protect driver from danger in case of drive shaft coming loose or breaking is required
a. The transponder will be permanently mounted securely in a non-movable, vertical position on the right side of each vehicle, with no metal or carbon fiber beneath the transponder. The transponder will be mounted in position not to exceed 24 inches above the track surface when measured from the bottom of the transponder. Appropriate transponder mounting brackets, available from AMB will be used. Brackets must be secured to the vehicle with proper mounting hardware, including bolts/nuts or rivets. Wire, wire ties or tape are not acceptable
b. The transponder will be mounted 72 inches, plus or minus 2 inches from the front edge of the front bumper, measured from the center of the car.
c. Altering a transponder, or interfering with the proper operation or data flow, or providing false data, of a transponder will result in penalty including possible disqualification, loss of all yearly points, and/or a fine up to $250.00
A. Post-race weigh- in
1. The top 3 finishers (track may require 4, to be announced before the days event) after each race must weigh- in and be prepared to tech.
1. Cars ruled illegal forfeit all prize money, awards, and points earned for that event, and are deemed disqualified.
C. Illegal parts
1. Any illegal part will be turned over to the PRO-SIX Tech Committee and/or Langley for further review.
