Parent Volunteer Responsibility
year all families will be required at the time of registration to leave a deposit check
to be returned upon the completion of at least 8 shifts of volunteer service per family plus 1 shift at Champs.
Families who do not complete the minimum required 8 shifts and 1 shift at Champs will be contributing their deposit towards the Dolphin's account in order to cover end-of-the-year expenses. Deposit checks will not be cashed until after championships when all families have had the opportunity to complete their minimum required hours and we can verify completion. All volunteer hours will be posted at poolside after each meet in order to easily track your family's hours.
This policy has been successfully used by many of the teams in the Sierra Foothill Swim League to help ensure a more equitable
participation by all families. Your support for your child's swim team is extremely NEEDED
and very APPRECIATED.
There are a variety of volunteer activities throughout the season for your family to participate in such as:
Master Stager, Staging Parent, Starter, Timer, Lane Slip Runner, Stroke & Turn Judge, Computer/Recorder, Ribbon Writer, Set-up, and Snack Bar.
If you sign up for a shift and find you are unable to fulfill your position, we ask that you find someone to take the shift for you. No-shows will be penalized with the amount of time in which you were to have volunteered. Dolphin's Board Members will be happy to assist you should you have any further questions.
