Congratulations to Honor Platoon and Drill Team for going down there and putting their Best Foot Forward and doing an Outstanding job. Honor Platoon did an exceptionally great job because not only did they manage to place third in Exhibition, Color Guard, and Inspection and as well as Overall against many of the best teams, but they also traveled back to back  to texas and exceeded their previous results. Moving on to Drill team, It was their first time competing there and they did good too. They took seventeenth in exhibition, seventeenth in color guard, seventeenth in regulation, thirteenth in inspection, and seventeenth overall, so in general, they did good for their first time and we are proud of them and encourage them to keep up their best efforts and much much more. We are honored to have these teams be able to both travel and compete in San Antonio, Texas. We wish these guys and girls the best of luck in their competition and all we want is for them is to put their best foot forward and have fun along the way, if they can bring home the win then that's spectacular, but if they can't then that's alright, we know they gave it their all, tried their best and had fun. Good luck to both the Drill Team Commander Marcos Bonilla and Honor Platoon Commander Montse Corona along with their teams. These teams wouldn't have gotten to where they are now without their amazing Leadership. We wish the teams the Best of Luck!

Great Job Shooters

In the State champion competition for shooters, we had two teams compete there, one was our Varsity Rifle Team, the other was our Novice Rifle Team. The best thing about it wasn't just that both of them got second place out of a ton of teams, it was that they went down there, they put their most maximum effort, put their best foot down and had a tremendous amount of fun. Their hard work commitment and dedication to this program, their team, and each other as well as themselves has slowly paid off. We not only have one of the best Varsity and JV RIfle teams in the state, but we also now have the best Novice Rifle Team in the State of Colorado. Make sure to give all these cadets a pat on the back because the surely deserve it. Congratulation Varsity and Novice Rifle Teams, Keep up the great work.

Our JV Rifle Team has been doing outstandingly well, especially because not only did they beat East High School by a score of 1017 but they are also shooting at a level higher than most Varsity Rifle Teams and until now their record is 7 wins to no losses and we believe they not only will they continue to win but they will also keep on striving to improve. Varsity and JV Rifle Team's Tremendous Shooting!

Saturday on the 29th of October, both JV and Varsity Rifle teams took place in a shooting competition over in pueblo. Varsity ended up taking 2nd out place out of 20 teams by shooting a total of 2148 and JV ended in 4th place out of 20 teams in the same competition. They had shot a 1999. Overall you can see that although we didnt take first place there, Lincoln won because we put our maximum effort and you can tell by the score, not only that but both our teams got within the top 5. Congradulations Varsity and JV rifle teams.

A few days ago our Varsity team once again took a victory and this time it was vs Gearge Washington Highschool's Varsity Rifle team. By shooting a 1062, the lincoln Varsity rifle team won the match and took home the win. All they need now is to keep striving to break that national record of a 1090.

Tremendous job JV Rifle Team!

Yesterday on October 25 of 2016, Abraham Lincoln's Jounior Varsity Rifle Team absolutely decimated not just their apponent,'Geaorge Washington High School,' but also absolutely demolished their own previous recod of 1022. See 17 points doesent seem like a whole lot, but when you get to the level of all these shooters, every point counts in order to make progress and keep on striving for that next checkpoint. At this point our JV team is beating most if not all not just other JV rifle teams around the state but also Varsity Rifle teams. I think it is very clear that our JV team is making a astonishing season for themselves and that theyr'e not just shooting to beat their own records, but to catch up to the best Rifle Team in the state of Colorado, Abraham Lincoln's very own Varsity Rifle Team.

Great Work Varsity Shooters

The Varsity Shooters from ALHS's 7th Battallion went to West Highschool and absolutely dominated the range with a final score of 1078 bringing home the win. We are all proud of you shooters and we hope just as much as you do that once you have broken the national record of 1090, you aim higher to break 1100 so that you can make us even prouder than we are now. Spectacular job Varsity shooters.

Congradulations to the JV Rifle Team who shoot tremendously well vs West Highschool. They absolutely demolished this competition by shooting a 1022. No other JV Team is shooting this well or near this level, they inclusively are shooting better than some Varisity RIfle teams. Make sure to congradulate these cadets for their constant brilliant effort and success behind the scope of the rifle.
