FCI Fairton, August 25, 2014

An inmate assaulted a staff member. The inmate kicked the staff member in the knee and proceeds to punch the officer several times in the face. The officer fell to the ground and was able to activate his body alarm. The inmate quit hitting the officer once he heard the alarm and the responding staff was able to secure the inmate. There were three staff members injured two of which happened responding to the alarm. 


FCI Manchester, August 25, 2014

An officer working in a housing unit observed an inmate messing with an air vent. The officer attempted to conduct a pat search on the inmate. The inmate turned on the officer and the officer then hit his body alarm. The inmate then proceeded to run on foot until other officers secured him. The officer suffered minor injuries to his hand. 

FCC Tucson, August 24, 2014

At 8:30 p.m., an inmate assaulted two staff members. Both officers sustained bruises to the facial area, knees, and elbows. The inmate was placed in SHU and the institution was placed on lock down. 


USP Atwater, August 16, 2014

At 7:56 p.m., inmates upon leaving a cell where they had confiscated contraband assaulted the two officers working a housing unit. Both officers were taken to hospital for treatment. One officer sustained trauma to his head requiring stitches, he has been transported to a second hospital for continued observation. The other officer received a minor laceration to the temple area of this head and he has been treated and released. The institution was placed on lock down status. 


USP Lee, August 17, 2014 

At 7:40 a.m., a staff member was stabbed nine (9) times by an inmate. The injuries are not life threatening. The staff member remains in the hospital at this time. The institution was placed on lock down.
