Autographs and More!

Welcome to 316 Sports!

My name is Andrew and welcome to my little site.  I love sports and collecting autographs.  My first love is baseball, but I am slowely branching out into football and hockey collecting as well.   Put your feet up and stay awhile.  Drop me an email, and I promise to respnd quickly.  I hope to add my entire collection of over 5000 autos on this site soon.  Near the bottom of this page is where I will include my successes and links to great sites and sports related articles.   Thanks for visiting.

I have been asked why some of my cards are signed "To Tyler?"  Tyler is my 3 and a half year old son, who is also a budding autograph collector.  My collection will one day be his.  When he was born, I wanted to find a way to involve him in my hobby.  Right now, his #1 job is to help me put the stamps on the envelopes.  As he gets older, his job will become more difficult. This site is dedicated to all the fathers and mothers out there that encourage or help their kids along with this great hobby.

( I am not a Yankee fan at all, but I love this graph.  I obtained this one IP at a Rangers game.  My wife and I were almost trampled to death by a crowd of 10 year olds.  The funny thing is that I was the only person Jeter signed for that day)

I don't have a trade or want list, but many of the cards on my site might be available for trade.  Just shoot me an email.

I don't pretend to know everything about TTM Auto collecting so feel free to give me any tips or pointers.

I personally enjoy autograph sites that don't bore me with just a picture of the graph, and the date in which the collector obtained the card.  I will try not to make this site boring.  I will give links to many interesting articles (some non sports related).  Hope you enjoy.

For my successes that I don't have scans for, just email me if you want to see a picture.  Many of my old style index card successes won't be scanned because, lately my scanner isn't scanning index cards well.

Important Information!

I have decided to move this site to a blog.  It will be the same great site, just easier to update.  My work hours are really taking a toll on me, and my wife and I are expecting a little girl in early June.  This seems like a great time to make the change.  I didn't want to shut down the site completely, but moving it to a blog will be better in the long run.

You can view the new blog at 316sports Autographs.

For those of you that link to me, I would appreciate it if you would update my link.  I will be adding your link throughout today.

Thanks for the understanding.

Sam Demel c/o TCU.  Sam is an outstanding reliever for the Horned Frogs and should be drafted in the first couple rounds this season.

I was also able to attend a Frisco Roughrider vs. Springfield Cardinals game.  I was able to come away with a few graphs.

Summer Ball=my site

Shut out again at the mailbox.  I did manage to upload a few more scans of some of my autograph collection.

Some exciting news.  I've been asked by sevaral friends and a couple people who are involved with the Texas Collegiate League to kind of keep a site/blog about the league and summer league baseball in general.  Games generally won't start until June, but I am putting the site together.  Here is the beginning of it.

Collegiate Summer Leagues (I plan to lose the adds sometime next week)

Also, I am only available to see Texas Collegiate League games.  If you attend or are familiar with any other leagues, shoot me an email at 316sports@gmail.com.  I would love to have your help.

Bob Randall c/o home.  Bob played for the Twins from 76-80.  His best season was in 1976.  He signed my 2 cards plus a 4/6 he provided and a Bible tract.

**Well it happened again.  The first page of my site was erased.  I can't figure out if it was my fault or not.  I will slowely update it once again.  Bare with me.

**If you want a better way to organize your collection of unsigned cards.  I encourage you to check out CollectorsCentralIt's just starting up, but give it a try.  My member name is 316sports in case you want to make a trade.

**I also want to let you know about Alex's Snail Mail.  It's simply a great site.  He also has all the team addresses on it.

**As most of you know, I love college baseball.  We don't have the Cape Cod League, but we have the next best thing.  The Texas Collegiate League is in it's fourth year now.  They are drawing some great prospects to play for one of their 9 teams.  If you are from the N. Texas area, I highly recomend checking one of the games out.  You can't beat the prices, and the competition is great.

**The new head coach of the Euless Lonestars will be a familiar face to Texas Rangers fans.  The great Rusty Greer is set to take the helm of the team when they start this summer.

LoneStarsí President Stacey Hollinger announced Wednesday the hiring of former Texas Rangersí outfielder Rusty Greer as the teamís new head coach.
The Texas Collegiate League is entering its fourth season in Texas and continues to gain strength as one of the top summer college baseball programs in America. The Texas Collegiate League has nine teams located in Bryan-College Station, Coppell, Denton, Duncanville, Euless, McKinney, Mineral Wells, Weatherford, and Wichita Falls....

**The Mckinney Marshals of the TCL have announced their tenative 2007 Roster.

How do you improve a team that just won the Texas Collegiate League championship?

Chris Young c/o Padres ST.  I really wish the Rangers wouldn't have traded him.  For some reason I was  0/2 with Chris last season.

Jeremy Sowers c/o Indians ST.  Jeremy is a great young prospect.  He signed 1 card and it was personalized to my son.

Matt Smith c/o Phillies ST

Erik Huber c/o Eastern Illinois Baseball.  Eric signed 2 homemade cards.  He also wrote a very nice letter to my son and I.

Chien-Ming Wang c/o Yankees ST.  Even though he does play for the evil empire, I am glad to get this graph back.

Dallas Braden c/o A's ST.

Pat Neshek c/o Twins ST.  Pat is the best signer out there.  The baseball world needs more players like him.

T.J. Beam c/o Yanks ST.

Wes Littleton c/o Rangers ST.  Wes is a great guy.  When he played at Frisco he was a jokester.  He would also sign just about everything.  He had a great year for the pitching poor Rangers last season.

Aaron Miller c/o Baylor Bears Baseball.  Aaron is one of the best freshman baseball players out there.  He also wrote a great note to my son and I.

Be sure to check out my interviews with players on this page.

My previous month's successes were erased from this page, but feel free to contact me if you need anything.

This is my policy regarding handing out free home addresses.  I will give one per person per week.  If you need more addresses you need to contact me.  Thanks for your understanding.
