Q1. If I am using a graphic, do I have to credit the site/creator?
A1.
Yes, you do. The designers of these graphics work hard to make them beautiful and for you to use, so at least have the courtesy to give the site/designer the credit. We make them to be credited, not ignored and robbed.
Q2. Do I have to link back to the site?
A2. No. Just
clearly state somewhere the name of the creator and the site. Like if the name of a creator was Christmas, then say somewhere "Graphic made by Christmas from ASZ" or something along those lines.
Not "Graphic made by someone from this Zutara site." It's way too general. And we're not general people. We're unique.
Q3. Can I alter the graphics in anyway?
A3.
NO. It's simple. If you do not like something,
DO NOT use them. Trust me, it's really easy!
Q4. What if I want to become one of the people who work on the site? What do I have to do or who do I have to contact?
A4. Only a few people are mods or admins on the forum and there only a few who have access to work on the site. I am afraid you cannot just e-mail one of the people and ask to be someone who works on the site. It does not work that way. You can however, send or tell us something you think might be cool to add, or maybe you have some evidence we don't already have, you are more than welcome to contact us about that. The closest someone who has not already been asked to work on the site will get to helping out will be as a mod for the forum. Sorry.
Q5. How do I become a mod?
A5. This is answered on the forum, but basically, you are going to have to be patient, kind, and understanding and spend quite some time on the boards. I mean, you have to spend a decent amount of time on the boards. If you bash the other ships or make any rude and vulgar statements, you can basically kiss becoming a mod goodbye. After a while and if all of the current admins and mods agree, we'll message you and offer the position. But it will take a while before you're offered the position. We will be watching you and seeing how you react. If you go mad with power, we'll set you in your place quickly. Anyway, we are not just going to hand it out to the first people who join.
Q6. What happens if I have a suggestion to add to the site for the music list or I want to submit a graphic or something along those lines?
A6. If you have a suggestion for the site,
e-mail one of the people listed in the "About Us" section. If you want to submit a graphic, again, e-mail us and give us your username from the forum (if you have one) or we will just use your e-mail name. The same applies for fanart or fanfiction. But let's actually make sure it is your own work and not someone elses.
Q7. What about affiliating to the site?
A7. To be an affiliate o to us, you're going to need to
e-mail or message one of the people listed in the "About Us" section. All of us will discuss and decide whether to agree to the proposition and then we'll message you back. Also keep in mind that you need to be associated to
"Avatar: The Last Airbender". We're not going to affiliate to a site based on a show like "Family Guy".
Q8. What if I have a question not listed on here?
A8. If it is
relevant to the site or Zutara,
e-mail us or PM us on the forum. If it is something silly like "Why is the sky blue" or something else like that, well, don't even bother asking because you're definitely going to get ignored. If I or any other member of the site gets an e-mail that says "ZOMG! ZUTARA RULES!" you will be ignored. (Go on the forums for that.) If I or any other member of the site gets an e-mail that says "ZUTARA SUX @$$!! KATAANG FOREVER!!!" or "MAIKO RULES!!11!111" or "SOKO ROCKS AND ZUTARA SUX!!!111!! WEWT!" you will be fishslapped for wasting our time.
Q9. I didn't win the contest!! Why not?
A9. Why are you bothering me with this? Here's the answer...because someone else won. Is it mean? Sorry...but I'm agitated that you would ask.
Q10. Can you be more specific about submitting fanfics?
A10. Alright. Recently, I've been doing skimming of fics and here's what I don't like to see, so they must pass these guidlines.
1. NO MARY SUES! I will not budge. If you want to know if your character is a Sue, look at the quiz on the site.
2. NO RAPE FICS! You think I'm kidding? No, I'm not. We will not accept any fics where someone is raped by another character. I'm sorry, it's gross and OOC.
3. NO SMUT! Sorry, but we're not interested in reading smut. Younger children may view the site and we don't want them reading fics about Agni know's what, doing Yue know's who.
4. Please make it Zutara or Taang fic. If it's a Kataang, Maiko, or Soko fic, I'll read it and so will the others (most likely), but please don't ask us to post it on the site. Most of the time, people may be die hard Zutarians/Taangians and won't want to read the fic. They may bash it. But feel free to submit a link or something on the forum under the Other Relationships Board.
