This machine had the incredibly ability of foresight, it could see into the future, allowing not only to stop future events, but also advance technology to unprecedented levels. For a while the earth lived in great prosperity. But it wasn't long before this machine was overtaken by a group of religous fanatics. For the next 200 years our entire civilization was run by The Imperium. The Imperium continued to create the future inventions and used there creations to spread the word of the machine. Ships that could span entire galaxys in no time, weapons that could be used to "liberate" alien peoples and colonies on distant planets were created within no time.

While some of the alien people were easily converted others were more resistant to our ideology, and expressed it through acts of terror. These alien attack pinnacled on an attack against the financial wing of The Imperium, The Interplanetary Financial Center. In order to conteract these attacks the Imperium decreed that colonies would be increased and that the I.D.A.S. be created. The I.D.A.S. became the military arm of the Imperium, and these soldiers along with the United Planets Army are a force to be reckoned with. They were dispatched all across the Galaxy to fight to enemies of the machine.
