The Islamic art is actually are in the universal shape and make those who involved in it also think universal way, as the art itself are relevant in any time or era. The art which get less influece from the thing that happen in time, or free from the shape of living creations like human or animal body, free from heavy sound instrument, free from heavy materialism idea, make it look more neutral which the same time it seem exist in any form of time either from the past time or furthenst time.

Al- Musawwir (The Fashioner)- " He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner"                                                                                ( 59:24 )
Al- Musawwir, one of the name of Allah ( Asma-Ul-Husna ). Sawwara implies giving definite form or colour, so as to make a thing exactly suited to a given end or object: hence the title Musawwir, Bestower of Form or colours i.e, the Fashioner. Allah is Al- Musawwir, because He designs all things.

Definition of word art which came from Latin word, is the product or proses of the application of a  body knowledge, as the other word mean also a talent, skill or craft used to produce an aesthetic (sensori-emotional value, judgments of sentiment or taste). But it could be a little different defination by other language even the translate are the same.

Art, in Arabic, it being call "funn" and in Malay language, art is call "seni", something fine which being express from a creatives mind, a talent of individual or someone who have learn the skill to present something, even in different department. In the way that, every individual have their own way to present it according their experience about something, the influence of daily life, the custom of life either through the traditional or the modern life, culture which being adapted, the language which have been spoken, the influence from the local media or globalization, and etc.
And the art which call Islamic art, is means that the art which under the frame of work, mind and rule which in the way show by Prophet Muhamad.
