 Ya Habibi Monthly Workshop & Hafli  

 


This is an informal monthly event, held on the last Saturday of the month. We will have various local workshop instructors and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to various charities.

Time:      4-6PM

Cost:     $20.00

Hafli Information

Time:               7:30 PM - Midnight

Cost:                $5.00 per adult plus covered dish per family

Other:              Bring your own beverage, music and drums.

Note:            Seating is limited, please bring something to sit on, chair,   

                     pillow, ottoman, etc.

May 30th Workshop: Moe Adas and Alex Azzan will be teaching " Strictly Debke" Basics and Beyound

 

About the Instructors

 

Moe Adas and Alex Azzan,  will be teaching basic debke steps and continue on to more complicated and fancier footwork. Debke is the dance of Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Iraq. (Dance and Music have no borders) Men and women alike dance this traditional line dance.

About the Instructor

Kareesha Willow

 

Kareesha Willow was performing by the age of six, and has been teaching and choreographing for the past fifteen years. Her dance repertoire includes Bellydance, Polynesian, African, Salsa, Ballet, and Modern Dance. Kareesha has performed in venues around the country including a spot on a Los Angeles television variety program, the Opera Aida, Cairo Carnival, various local shows, and a regular engagement at Al-Zaituna restaurant. Kareesha combines her diverse dance background, explosive energy, and captivating charisma to create a one-of-a-kind performance.

 

Join Kareesha for an original choreography to a drum solo.
