Looking Forward for the New Season
After there first appearence ever for Zabbar Chievo as a Futsal Club last year, this year Zabbar Chievo are looking forward for this new season 2006/2007.
Surely last year was a big success for Zabbar Chievo altough they failed to gain promotion for the 2nd Division. But Zabbar Chievo this year are willing to repeat the success which they did last year with gaining Promotion this year.
Right Now Zabbar Chievo are doing some auditions for new players which will be included in the 2006/2007 squad.

The Story
Zabbar Chievo was founded in 2001 by the never Forgotten Kevin Attard(Grancu) Kevin was a real passionate guy on football and always wanted to have a team that plays in 5 aside Games. At that time presnetly club`s official Stuart Diacono was in charge of another 5 aside team with the name of Conquestadores, but after he had some trouble with them he decided to stop taking care of them. Kevin always had invited Stuart to tske care of Zabbar Chievo and so he decided to do so. Kevin already had good force in the team with players such as Aaron PAce(Willis), Frankie Xerri, Glenn Bonello, Joven Abela(Cula), Damian D'Amato, and others. Stuart continued to improve the team with players such as Carlos Scicluna, LAwrence Cesare(Mexico), Alex Caruana(Kabocc), Chris Richards, Claude Camilleri, Italo Sultana, Kirsten Buhagiar, Lizio Grech and many more. With this team Zabbar Chievo was a real challenge in tournaments as they won twice the St.Micheal's Zabbar Band Club Tournament, and another big victory was the tournament held at Swatar, where it consisted in not less than 32 teams. Zabbar Chievo won that Tournament and also won a price which consisted in Lm400. Zabbar Chievo were the team that was the challenge for everyone andwon many games and many other tournaments. In all the tournaments Zabbar Chievo took part in, Zabbar Chievo always finished with the last 4 teams, but unfortunatly there was a time when the team stopped from playing and and many players decided to go and play with some other teams.
Unfortunatly Zabbar Chievo's Founder Kevin Attard(Grancu) passed away in November 2004. He was the best friend Stuart ever had. In Summer 2005 Stuart decided that the club Kevin had founded could not stop there after all the hard work done by Kevin who had achieved many important goals, so he decided to rise again Zabbar Chievo and he is sure this is what Kevin wanted.At first he recalled the players who made part of the first team ever of Zabbar Chievo but they were already impenned with their clubs. Then he decided he could not built again the team based on stars players but a team who is friends and passionate of soccer. At last he found what he was looking for and entered the most important 5 aside soccer competition in the Maltese Islands...The Futsal Competition.. At first he didn't find any help but as an angel from above he contacted Adrian Darmanin, a guy who is passionate reliable, and hard working, and together they are building a team of friends, for the future and success of Zabbar Chievo...
After all this is surely what Kevin Attard(Grancu) really wanted, and also sure that he is now happy with this club of success.
