Kawasaki Z1300

(the finest 6-pack in the world)

Welcome to the official site of the U.K. z1300 riders club, a site for z1300 enthusiasts who like to ride em as well as polish em. Both the site and club are  in their  infancy at present, and will no doubt grow.  We intend to start a discussion forum etc and will consider club regalia if there is enough interest shown? Please feel free to email me with any suggestions on how to make this a useful z1300 club. also email pics of your bikes if you'd like them included in the gallery.  Most importantly, get in touch and lets see if we can meet up on the road this summer, YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!!!!!!

Riders of all 70's and 80's Jap/European bikes are most welcome in our group

(anything we stand a chance of out-dragging from the lights)

Members Bike ------- 0ctober 2005

This lovely 13 belongs to Al from Denmark. The bike started life in Texas, then was imported to

the UK and now resides in Denmark. It's fresh out of a 12 year slumber in Al's garage and is a credit to him.

Hi
This is my 1980 z1300 A1, i wanted one for twenty years and finally did it. Its bog standard here and I think 100% original,,, runs a bit rough on tick over but its been stood for three years so I expect the carbs are furred up. It came from Bridlington and the salt air has got under the paint all over but I don't care,,, I'm going to ride it and fettle it at the same time.  the engine bars were red rusty so I've sanded and sprayed them. I'll go through it and make improvements and I'll put pics on whenever i make changes.
cheers
jj

!!YOU DECIDE!!

and let me know

I'm thinking of starting a page dedicated to soundbites like the two above and including details of the bike making the noise with detail photo's of the exhaust system etc.

What I'd like to do is meet up with members and record there bikes for the site? Wonder what you think?  The format would be something like my z13 recording above ie. a couple of blips of the throttle, then select 1st gear and ride it like you just stole it up to 100mph ending with full closing of the throttle. I reckon this would give a good indication of how they sound in the flesh so to speak? I forsee a whole host of mint sounding retro bikes for all the biking world to hear and i reckon this could be quite useful if anyone is thinking of modding a bike.

Let me know your thoughts on this through the forum please.
