Most Romantic - What vid/music combination turned out most intentionally romantic. Not to be confused with overdone romance-y scenes mixed together. Here, Most = Best.

Best Angst - A video that most illustrates one sided love or two sides stuck apart for some reason and the angsty feelings associated with that. Song choice can play a big part in it, but isn't necessary always. Can be AU or canon, can be AU couples or AU attraction, whatever, so long as its angst, ya know?

Best Action - Song choice can be important, but mostly its just what video holds the most intense action, and feels most 'Matrix elevator fight' feel, ya know? LOL! Flashy, cool, gets the blood goin' type, doesnt break for talking or drama unless it fits, kinda thing... With fast camera angles and fast cuts, too... *points to the winners of the catagory she hasn't announced yet*

Best Couple - This one refers to how well you illustrate your chosen couple, in AU especially, it has to portray THAT couple, not a different one, and not multi couple vids. It can be angsty, too.

Best Dramatic - Dramatic is more like suspense and mystery; it holds intensity that is more of a hybrid of action, romance, and occasionally angst.

Best Tearjerker - Pretty self-explaining.

Best AU - AU is the most convincing one that makes it look canon.

Most Unique - Self-explaining, something that hasn't been done and its done well. Its a very vague thing. Note that new songs to same old couples without a new twist, does not equal unique.

Best Comedy - Funny! Song choice, show choice, I'm very lenient, but it cant feel forced.

Best Song - Just which song I like best! :P

Best Music Use - How the vid fits the song; this takes into account the effects and editing.

Best PoV - What best illustrates a person's point of view on the subject of the vid. With AU, it means that view as opposed to their actual view.

Best Episodic - The vid that best illustrates an episode in the few minutes; also can include up to 3 or 4 eps.

Best Editing/Effects - Basically self-explaining.

Best Movie - The one that best represents its movie.

Best TV Show - The one that best represents its show.

Best Vidder - Entirely personal taste and a culmination of the other categories, but has to be unanimous from the judges.

Best Vid - Entirely personal taste and a culmination of the other categories, but has to be unanimous from the judges.
