How has Youth for Change International inspired you?
Introduction: We're celebrating the Second Founding Week of YFCI, our second anniversary, a milestone indeed. We have come a long way in these two years. Our main aim behind all of our initiatives has been to inspire, empower, and encourage youth to make a differene. Therefore, in this section, we bring you some first hand accounts of the members and affiliates of YFCI on how YFCI has influenced them and their lives. Read on!
YFCI represents a declaration by YOUTH that its membership takes very
serious issues and concerns of which we are all aware in the world and
remain unaddressed to ensure minimum, basic human rights of all.
The focus and directions that have been created suggest that YFCI,
along with other youth groups which are partnering with YFCI, can
create a major influence in the world to work towards improvement in
local conditions. YFCI thus has been a natural in terms of potential
partnership/relationship with ABC4All, and strong ties and working
partnership have been developed and continue.
The dedication and professionalism of what YFCI offers stands out and
rightly so has been attracting many people signed up with TIG.
Therefore the common purpose the cuts across YFCI and other groups,
recently ratified in Project Y.A.Y (Youth on the Move, ABC4All and
YFCI) suggests that many youth from diverse cultures across the world
can work together towards self-improvement and better communities -
while hopefully having FUN as well.
Much appreciation and KUDOS goes to all involved who have made YFCI
what it is today and what it is becoming, with special recognition to
its Founder, Zach, who is always ready to do more!
Respectfully,
Hello, hello! I can say how it has influenced me in terms of career choices. I had wanted to study literature since the 4th grade, but changed my views to Sociology (maybe Political Sciences, not sure yet). When I joined the site, I was determined to help in some way to our present generation. Knowing that there is hope and there indeed ARE people of about my age that care means the world to me. So thank you
. Hooray!

Most importantly: YFCI has given me hope that We can still change our world in to a better place and all that we need is a heart to care for, help for, do for. I was ignorant about the problems that affect our earth, for a long time. Now, YFCI got me thinking. I do worry about people's sufferings and aspire to help mankind on our planet. I am able to anlayse varied views of youth among the world and that gives me innovative ideas about how possibly we can better things happening. We develop ideas in to solid plans that will certainly "MAKE THE CHANGE".
I have always wanted to be part of an organization that actively helps the world in some way and I am happy that I have come to YFCI. Believe me, it is so nice to have like-minded youths gathering and talking on an issue. If I do something in my life to help our mankind and earth, that is mainly because of YFCI and my comrades here. I am proud to be a part of YFCI.
We are the "Leaders of Tomorrow, Making a Difference today".

Before I became a member of the YFCI, I thought that youths just talk and talk and talk; they don't want to make a difference! After becoming a member of the YFCI, I finally understood that youths CAN make a difference, by expressing their opinions and discussing. This can really help because youth are the future, we are the future, and we will be the world leaders in the next few years. YFCI changed the aspects of my life, made me believe that there is a chance to change and inspired me for creating the UYCW with the help of Sam. YFCI: I would really like to ... THANK YOU!

It made me care more for the world! I just want to say that YFCI is a great place to discuss any matter and it's a great place to make a change and have fun while doing it!

Back in 2006 when I joined YFCI in the capacity of Ambassador YFCI for Pakistan, it never occurred to me as what am I adding to my social life, being part of this network changed my perspective and attitude toward youths role in the affairs of the states, global political scenario, and impacts of international political and socio-economic events that directly or indirectly effects the regional status with reference to youngsters and the part they can play by voluntary spirit. This accumulation is what I will always treasure when ever YFCI is to be mentioned.
Being part and parcel of this forum made me conscious of the fact that in the time to come I will like to work as a social activist & to adopt a career as a political analyst in the field of international political and relations.
As far as the future of YFCI is related, all I can say is that it has been a privilage to be part of this forum & I hope that this platform will continue to endorse the youth all around the world in a positive way and provide them means of proving their abilities in future.
Suggestions: Other than the on going projects, we need to start working to take this forum to the next level with reference to working, for instance, voluntarily coordinating and working with UNICEF, UNESCO as well as UNV. It will provide us means to carryon with field work as well.
It is an honor to be designated as the ambassador for YFCI; I hope & will try my level best to fulfill the responsibility of promoting the role of youth positively.
Last but definitely not the least, Hats off to the Executive Director, Fellow Ambassadors, Staff members and members of YFCI on their efforts to project YFCI in a remarkable manner.
Congratulations on Foundation Week of YFCI
Love & Peace,

YFCI totally changed the way I look at things. It made me hopeful for a better future; seeing that we have many people from all around the global who are interested in bringing a change. It also made me see that we can make a difference no matter how small the act is. I've gained a lot of good friends.
I have learned that if we come together, as one, regardless of our differences, we can totally rock this world

I feel words would not be enough to describe the immense positive ways in which YFCI has influenced me. It's been almost 2 years since I joined YFCI and I can definitely say that interacting with all the people at YFCI from different parts of the world, different cultures and religions and most of all, of different viewpoints, has made me a significantly rational, sensible and tolerant person.
Above all being one of the staff members, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge while handling the varied responsibilities in the organization. YFCI has given me a platform to express my thoughts, add my voice and to take action in our own right. I can't thank YFCI enough for giving me ample opportunities to utilize my capabilities for contributing to positive action. I'm extremely grateful to everyone at YFCI, for reposing their trust in me, giving life to my ideas and being such great friends.
YFCI, for me, is not just a youth organization - it's a ray of hope that we can make a difference, it's a group of genuine friends with common aspirations, it's a responsibility, it's a blessing (for me)...it's a significant part of my life and I'm proud to be a part of it!
Thank you YFCI!!

YFCI has influenced me to spend more time helping others. In a way, I got more aware that for further education I want to do something helping other people, like social studies or psychology. I've learned a lot about different issues and I'm continuing to learn. YFCI is a great mixture of different opinions and it's made me see the logic and reason behind other people's opinions and why they have them. Also at YFCI you can state your opinion and it's respected even when other members don't agree, they're respectful towards your opinion or theory and accept your view.I always post here with a lot of joy and I've met wonderful people here at the boards. YFCI is now a part of my daily life.
I now believe strongly that we, as the leaders from tomorrow, can do a better job than leaders are doing right now and it's all because of organizations as YFCI making others aware of the problems and allowing people from all over the world to come to a solution and creating more of a world unity because people of all different 'religions', 'races', 'genders', come together to make this world a better place for everyone.
YFCI has influenced my hope for this world and has given me a more positive outlook on the world and our future.
